We all know where this is heading.
The manager for next season. Simon Rusk.

Sport Republic on the cheap again.

We thought that we had the answers, It was the questions we had wrong.

This is a positive move, Juric clearly does not have the knowledge of the Premier League nor do the staff that came with him.

We can go on about Sport Republic doing things on the cheap, but the fact is that they have splashed the cash, just not very wisely at times.

In 2022/23 we spent around 120 million.

In 2023/24 we spent £25 million

2024/25 we spent around £115 million

Thats £260 million in total.

In the same period we raked in about £190 million from transfers in.

So so far SR are about £70 million down in what they have spent out.

Add to that what they have spent in compensation to managers (lol) then no one can accuse them of not putting their money where their mouth is, they have just spent it badly.

Some of that is not their fault, two good appointments in Joe Shears and then Jason Wilcox were good and if they had both stayed then we would probably be in a lot better position now.

Putting Rusk up to the first team coaching staff is clearly a move aimed at keeping the peace between the players and the manager, then hopefully Sporrs can sort things out we will have a new man in next season who will have the foundations

In life we can keep moaning about the things that have now happened and we can't change or we can be positive and hope that they will get it right.

On Saturday at St Mary's I saw it empty, I haven't read anything about fan protests in Marine Parade, last May thousands turned up to cheer on the team coach with flags and flares, no one can be bothered protesting.

what you have forgotten is the premiership cash for this season £150m last year ( parachute) £75m and the year before £125m that £350m take away the £70m down leaves us £280m up where it gone ?

That's obviously the plan.
I don't have a problem with that.
When you consider the level of players that we'll be relying on next season then I think Simon Rusk if not exciting is adequate.
We are now a club lacking in funds & ambition so you cut your cloth to suit.

70mill over 3 years isn’t a fantastic outlay in this day and age. Coupled with the fact there will be another fire sale in the summer to balance the books again. The problem is most of the squad is now made up of their duff signings or stalwarts that are to poor to move on. Once you sell Ramsdale, fernadez and Dibbling , the rest will bring a n petty change.

Poll: Has the Ross Stewart deal already paid off as Nick says?

Playing him as a CB is even worse, TBF.

£98m spent on 7 players in the summer.
That is why we are bottom of the league and in danger of being the worse team to grace The PL.

An average of £14m on each player.
Championship standard.

I’m sorry but there was no hope of anyone keeping us up.

We’re in a big boys league now!
