Only 3,928 has there been a lower gate at Loftus Road for a competitive match ?
I can't remember one.

To be fair, they had sold 17940 tickets before the club announced Sandro was starting.

Doubt it, but at present there is a Soviet style purge amongst some of the support whereby those who show emotion, in any form, are actively discouraged from attending.

Probably not in the last 50-60 years. Sure there must have been in the early-mid 50s when we were struggling at the wrong end of the Third Division South.

One or two of those LDV games a few years back got below 4,000 gates, I think.

Having been away for the start of the season my first game was vs. Preston. Prior to that I had intended to go last night, but couldn't face it after Saturday.

Was going to turn up on the day but a combination of Saturday's misery and the bbq/cold wine beckoning me diverted me home.

I stayed at home last night to peel the maggotty hollowed out carcass of a rat from the inside of my mower's grass box. Sounds a bit of a toss-up.

LISTEN UP MAREKTING DEPARTMENT...

The idea of offering a £5 discount for booking in advance is actually perceived as a £5 penalty for lazy gits like me who would have gone to both of these cup ties but felt I was being fined for being happy to turn up and pay on the door.

Your stupid pricing policy stopped the crowd being 3,929. Harrumph.

Rather than being all moody and miserable about the attendance, I think we should take the opportunity of thanking the over 3,000 Rochdale fans who made the trip down.

Yep after Saturday, I didn't bother getting a ticket but by last Monday I was thinking about it but the booking fee put me off, as I object to doing all the work of a booking and being charged for the privilige of doing it!

Certainly wasn't going to pay extra on the night!

Make it a tenner walk up and the attendance would have been double that.

Include 3 cup tie seats with a season ticket.

More beer pie and programme sales and a better attendance for fringe players to play in front of .

As know most years they will actually give away a max of two .

I suspect the main problem was that no-one at the club knew there was a game on last night as it was the 2nd round of a cup competition and we havent had one of those for years.

Never knowingly understood

That would probably work.
I only paif eleven quid for me and my lad last night which was a contributing factor to us going. If they included a few games with the ST then they are only losing this small amount of income anyway and it would boost attendances significantly.

Back in the Ron Phillips days I think they did used to include cup games in some form.

Wonder if their inclusion of 3 home tickets, deductable against the following seasons ST if we dont play 3 at home would be a sensible option. Would encourage ST take up the following season and guarantee a certain amount of income.

It may have been a tenner for the ticket if you booked in advance, but you do still have to pay the ridiculous £3.50 booking fee. So in effect the walk up price was only £1.50 more.

I actually thought that there was more than that there last night. Not a lot more but think that they shrunk the numbers.

They included Cup games back in the 90s.
