The Official Norwich City v Swansea City Matchday Thread on 17:11 - Nov 7 with 2026 views | ItchySphincter | This is a big test for Garry and I'm not sure he's got it in him although I've never been sure despite positioning myself in the 'give him a chance' camp. I don't think he will arrest the slide but I do think that due to the shortcomings of others we will get away with it. Always said if he can't get a tune out of this lot it's purely down to him.

The Official Norwich City v Swansea City Matchday Thread on 17:11 - Nov 7 with 2026 views | curleigh | We need to change at least half of these for the reserves, no good playing the same team because complacency has set in big time with a lot of these, they may show a bit more fire than what is being given by most of our regulars, they surely cant be much worse.

The Official Norwich City v Swansea City Matchday Thread on 17:07 - Nov 7 by londonlisa2001 | I wouldn't be at all surprised if he went for Brenda. I'm not saying it's right, but I think he may well do so. There will be a few of the board who will not be able to stomach the thought of their £5 or £10m disappearing down the nearest toilet. |
Totally with you on that Lisa..... can't really see where else he could go. Nobody else would fill me with any confidence (& Brenda doesn't either really). Desperate times..........

The Official Norwich City v Swansea City Matchday Thread on 17:04 - Nov 7 by monmouth | It's not that though Raynes is it? There are some serious questions about that today and the recent trend. Why is Cork no longer allowed on the pitch? Why did we pay 5m for Eder if he's going to play 3.5 minutes in desperation Why is the team so slow and ponederous? Why do we have no attacking ideas? What, if they are not scoring goals are Gomis and Ayew for? Why are those two undroppable? Why do our players that can no longer shoot from around the box? Why isolate Naughton so badly? and a massive one for me: Why do the players look so unhappy in their work and with each other? I don't give a toss who is manager, never have. I'm not one for personalities but that was seriously abject today against a frightened side that were ready for surrender. We decided to surrender instead. I found the last half an hour almost unwatchable and if all we get is the usual Pro-monk, anti-monk sh1t, that is a shame. Are you seriously happy with that? |
No not all, I think there is a big problem within the squad, things are just not right, my post alluded that there are a few who have waited a while for a run like this, sorry but it's true

The Official Norwich City v Swansea City Matchday Thread on 17:15 - Nov 7 with 1923 views | union_jack | GM is deep in the tunnel of pride at the moment. He is doing the same thing week in week out when it clearly isn't working. All because he is not going to buckle to external pressure. This happens all too often with football managers and the types of egos they possess. Toshack was another one!

The Official Norwich City v Swansea City Matchday Thread on 17:16 - Nov 7 with 1908 views | londonlisa2001 | It may be unwelcome to say so, but unless we try him up front, I'm not certain what Ayew brings to the team. He can't beat a man for pace, can't tackle and gets in the way because his positional sense is so poor. He's also arguing with his team mates all the time. We saw more from Routs in that 20 minute spell than from either Ayew or Montero in the whole game.

I'm not sure why you're going after me but that was dreadful though if you'd like to elaborate on anything I've said that you disagree with I'm all ears. |
He's going after you because you've gone after everyone else who has dared question Monk in any way shape or form. And it's looking like you might be wrong. Perhaps now objectivity and debate can once again become a feature of this forum.

Well if one or two waited for him to prove himself insufficient, it would seem he's in the business of substantiating that feeling. They're responding to poor results, couldn't otherwise - not in the same manner.

The Official Norwich City v Swansea City Matchday Thread on 17:18 - Nov 7 with 1813 views | barry_island | What has happened with: Cork Grimes Eder before the 85th minute Amat Tabanou To name but 5. Obviously the team is playing well enough to keep these out. Have they all been naughty in garages? Or have they fallen out with our management team? Just smile

The Official Norwich City v Swansea City Matchday Thread on 17:07 - Nov 7 by Borojack | I can see Him getting the dreaded vote of confidence. Lose to the Cherries and he will be toast. No shots on target against a poor side is not good enough. |
His inexperience is shining through like a beacon. Gary has done brilliantly and has exceeded all my expectations. Huw now needs to make a decision as to whether he replace him or brings in someone of stature to help him. I am not sure which is the best option. We have lost to a very poor side today despite dominating possession. Our inability to make a game of it after going behind was the major concern for me coupled with the managers inability to do anything about it. Leicester, Southampton, West Ham and even Watford have brought in experience. I am beginning to think we should do the same but I doubt we have a list of ready made replacements. It seems a long hard winter beckons.

to push JJS and Ki further up the pitch. The choice was not as defensive as some are making out, although I would have taken JJS off rather than Siggy and pushed Ki on to play with Siggy. But without Britton or Cork on the pitch, we have two midfielders playing on top of each other and a huge gap in front of them.

This is probably it for me - not sure that changing the manager will have the effect but we have an inexperienced management team throughout and we need someone to be prepared to make the change Shelvey, Ki, Gylfi, Gomis, Ayew, Montero - all of them are capable of scoring goals yet none of them look like even coming close at the moment and that needs to be addressed Cannot remember who said it but 66% possession and no shots on goal tells you what is wrong at the moment and it goes deeper than any one individual
The Official Norwich City v Swansea City Matchday Thread on 17:23 - Nov 7 with 1637 views | Glyn1 | Losing 1-0 away isn't the end of the world, but it's the way that we did it that worries me. No shots on target? If we've now become a team who relies on one man to score for us (Gomis) then we've become predictable and dependent on his form. I still think we'll beat 40 points but it's going to be damn close.

But you're still reducing the creativity of the side substantially by doing it. 1-0 down with 10 minutes left, did we really need a defensive midfielder on the pitch?

Agree 100%. Why on earth has Gary abandoned both Corky and Leon only to bring the latter on when the going gets tough. It has been unvarying for the last few games which makes me worry that he has lost the plot.
