Ok fine. I know where he stands and I don't like it so I won't vote for him. Cameron stands for the Tory values. I also know where Labour stand and that is where my vote will go nationally. If within the parties politicians don't act within the values of that party then it is up to the electorate to do something about it. I am not just talking about just voting here but joining your local party and endeavouring to ensure that the right persons represent your party in your area. I am giving advise that I don't adhere to myself btw.
Whilst complacency exists we will always have sheep in wolves clothing. That does not stop me voting Labour as I abhor everything the Tories stand for.

And there lies the problem. Democracy is the way forward but we are all too complacent about it. I am 61 and moving house at the mo so busy as Hell and I wonder do I want to spend my last years on a soapbox preaching my gospel. The answer is no. But I will happily support anyone younger person that does.
Perhaps Dwight could take up the job when he eventually sees the light ;-)

Let’s see I posted a perfectly reasonable, polite and factual post (which was very positive about our team) on granted an “horrendous thread” (started by the self appointed, then, chief mod) and said chief mod (who has long been using me as his perpetual bullying target whilst being friendly and supportive of another tame ID that continually criticises The Board and Garry) responded with “Horrendous C*nt”.
As for this IP ban issue. Happened to me quite a few times (same as WH) — normally right or soon after posting in disagreement with Darran, Starskey or IS, interestingly my post (which I view on the thread) then also disappears. Not a problem when using the same device with a different IP. Interesting indeed.
Phil did you check IP blocks because they do not need to refer to the ID — just the IP.

Genuinely according to the system then Warwick was not showing as banned as far as I could see but clearly there was some kind of issue there
T2C and I had an exchange of messages yesterday regards the subject which I have no desire to share the content of but yes he was banned - banned by me - for a short period to let things cool down a little (I guess reading the posts since that went well I just delayed the carry on!)
Outside of that everything should stay on this one thread (although why we have a desire to start a poll asking who should be banned as neither are going to be) and why people cannot use the ignore function is also beyond me. |

To accuse me of being "spineless" "because the ignore button cannot be used effectively" is either the biggest pisstake ever on this or any forum, or you didn't read the thread I started about using the "ignore" button, or you think I'm even more stupid than T2E.
[Inasmuch as you didn't read that thread, I was excoxriated by far too many, in language that wold have offended even T2E who so far has shown the lack of intelligence and good manners to be offended, for using the "ignore" button.
Do you not realize that even when I had him on "ignore," he continued his gratuitous and absolutely uncalled for abuse filled with completely unacceptable language. O.K., the "ignore" button prevented me from reading them, but he was still being read by every other poster.
That is the issue. He is using a perfectly good forum to insult three people -- endlessly. So far.
And when I changed my method of getting that vile man to stop his filthy, abusive, attacks on me and two others, and started to use the "report abuse" tool, I was advised to stop that.
It was a pointless exercise anyway. Nothing will get through his thick skull.
