Being sh@i in the championship whilst getting done 5-0 away at Southend, Wimbledon, Preston , 6-1 at Leeds and 6-0 at Forest was no fun either.
I can only recall one enjoyable season in that division the rest was marred by farce, bankruptcy on every turn and struggle....even when the money arrived.
Careful what you wish for as some appear to have very short memories indeed.

Couldn't agree more, but whilst sitting in the stands yesterday for the first time in a while I felt nothing, numb in fact. Nothing went our way again, and at the moment it feels like the world is on our shoulders.
Also saw a few mates that we hadn't seen all season because we all used to sit in the lower loft and now we don't, last two seasons it's been as case of making progress for progress sake and now I can't wait for the reset. |  | | |

Never quite understood this attitude. If we were top 6 say in March would you want us to throw matches so that we would not get into the top two, would you want us to throw the play off games. I would imagine you would be in the minority. |

There is only one place to be and that is where we are - the Premiership(the top league in the world)......we just need to sort ourselves out. We could then perhaps start to enjoy the Premiership much more that we are atm.

We spent years in the Championship and L1 dreaming of the Prem, get here and because we are not suddenly top ten you don't like it? Bet you were a pleasure to be with when you opened your Christas presents.
We could be fourth in the Championship and have a centre back pairing of Gabbidon and Ramage - is that what you want to be watching every week? The Championship is grim, don't get fabled ideas about it. And you have to put up with Claridge.
Strangely, still think we can survive. Crucial transfer window.

I don't hate the Prem League, I'm hating our results though and that's what I'm struggling with.
At the start of this season I honestly thought we would be O.K. and with the players we brought in we should be, we have been hugely let down by the professionals who represent QPR (mainly players and the recently departed MH).
The cost of watching QPR and the kick off times are a massive drain on the ordinary stand behind the goal supporter like 'your's truly' but shit let's face It we knew what we was getting into when we got promoted.

I'm not blaming the premier league but am just reflecting on how I feel in general about Rangers at the moment. It's easy to look back with affection to certain years with rose tinted specs. I have not forgotten the darker day's at QPR and

100% spot on Dave, TF is teflon coated when it comes to critisism from some.
There is no other place to be than the Prem, warts and all, the top league and top of it should always be the clubs ambition, seems like a nigh on impossibilty when looking at how much money is spent by the winners but the mould has to be tried to be broken, now that is what a club like ours should be looking at, not joining the financial merry go round of all the other basket cases that have tried and failed. |  | | |

Too many changes done too quickly, too many journeymen on high wages brought in, not enough trust in younger players, not enough scouting knowledge, not enough commitment from too many players (not all), not enough understanding of our attacking tradition.
Apart from that it's gone quite well.
Wonder how the team that got us up would have faired if we'd just kept 90% of them together? Bet it would be much better than the current team. |  |

I think many of us need to decide where we would realistically like the club to be in a few years?
For me it would be to emulate someone like Stoke or Fulham and become an established, competitive club, capable of beating the big guns from time to time, and also able to more than hold our own against those around us while beating the weaker sides.
It is a struggle to get to such a position, but not impossible. We could one day play before 25-30,000 fans in a new stadium, attracting players who like being able to live in and around London, as opposed to some other parts of the country.
Lots of mistakes have been made over the last couple of years, but we have a taste for the big time again now, and while it is no fun when you are being beaten most weeks, we can gradually turn this around. If we need to go down to bounce back more strongly, then so be it, we'll take on that challenge (as Newcastle and the Baggies did) and we'll still be following our Rangers back up!
Being an established, competitive side in the Premier League is where we all want to be surely? Keep that as a vision and stay positive. Life favours those with a glass half full...! | | | |

i would like us to model ourselves on the club we were late 80s early 90s,never in a relagation battle,flirting with europe,scouting players from lower leagues then selling them on for decent money when the time was right.Sadly i dont think this is going to happen anytime soon. | | | |

- Note: How have newly promoted clubs fared before us? The diference betwwen the Prem and Championship is massive. Thats why the Prem needs a Premiership type manager, the tem must change AND the stadium/club overall must transform. Fullham, Wigan and others have gone from Championship caliber to Premier league but it took time.
-THANK YOU TONY FERNANDES. Without him last year would have been a repeat of Derby's season in the Prem. As it is we need to be aware that struggling might be a reality for a few years...
-Sunderland looked relegated last year before O'Neill got in there. Wigan are pernennial relegation picks. Because of HR and TF I still think we have a chance.
If we play like we did on Sat (+add a REAL CB) we will do OK. Plus the spirit and steel this will bring will do us good.

It's to blame because it is purely about making money and the fans who support the teams in it and provide the atmosphere at games are never considered for one moment. Games switched at the last minute, moved to ridiculous times of the day and night, players on absolutely obscene amounts of money with untouchable contracts who can do as they like, incompetent managers who still get jobs after proving they are useless, overpriced rubbish foisted onto fans from Club shops etc. Ridiculously expensive tickets for games, no standing allowed. The Premier league has taken the game from the fans and given it to people who sit at home and watch it, over hyped 24/7 rubbish it's now become like a soap opera instead of a true sport. A true sport is where there is at least a semblance of a level playing field where everyone has some sort of a chance. The same few teams win the PL every year - at the start of the competition everybody knows that. The rest are just trying to stay on the gravy train. That's not a sport IMHO. it's been like that for a long time well before the prem was invented, through the 80's i think only 3 teams won the title, it's no different now.
