Really great stuff. A few people have commented that Tyler isn't even an Rs fan. Watch this and you'll see that even if he wasn't he is fast falling in love with all things Rangers. Kicks every ball, silently sings all the songs. Great relationship with Andy. Not an easy job to commentate but great work from both of them.
Just a quick word about Paul in the last 5+ minutes of the Luton game. His defending down that flank and relentless tackles and harrying helped us see out the game. A really impressive display of putting everything on the line for the cause. The boy was everywhere. Well done Paul.
Always an excellent watch and Sints is always brilliant but I'm so impressed with Sam Field whenever he speaks. You can tell how much he loves the club and to commit his future to us when we looked like we were down and out last season shows how much he really does love the club. Very grounded and very honest about the start to the season as well.
Well done lads. Felt like they arrived finally in the second half. Excited to see what Dembele can bring but my God, Saito looks like the sort of player we've been crying out for. He reminds me of Mitoma at Brighton in his skill and toughness. Could be a crowd favourite. Great finish by Dykes.
I mean thank god Dykes braidings have gone (and he can still score goals like the one today) but one of the big questions, especially as I have so little hair, is how quickly does his hair grow? It seems to grow like weed. He can go from skin headed to 60s Flower stoner hair length in a week. Is it something to do with the tattoo ink? I mean I know we discuss and worry about football here but his hair growth seems to almost defy science?
Their number 36 Barton, making his debut looks like one to watch. Really impressive. As for us a great first goal, well played Smyth on the second. Apart from the poor pass from Walsh for their goal (although we had 2 chance to stop the advancing player who did well) his keeping looked very solid again.
This playing out from the back when you aren't too good at it could really be an issue for us, although Field was clearly fouled on one of them. It would have counted though. Marti may have to rethink some of that strategy as our back line, aprt from JCS aren't that quick and nor are our DMFs so quick attackers will get through that more often than not. Not saying go long but we really have to be careful playing out like that.
Really excellent interview considering and amongst all the unwarranted doom and gloom around after today he is very realistic. They know what they got wrong and they'll work to be sharper and less 'passive'. I like that our players can actually recognise and be critical of themselves.
Unusually sleepy defending that they'll have to work on. Not being goal side or touch tight with the attackers is very unlike this defence so you hope they acknowledge that and up their concentration.
As of the highlights we seemed to come alive a little later in the game. Seems far less disastrous than last year's horror first showing but we obviously need more enforcements to get up and running to some kind of potential. For all those coming in we have lost a lot of players and there are still a number of gaps to fill.
Anyone writing off Kolli and Cesar after one game should be ashamed of themselves. They need games to get up to speed and Cesar has barely had a pre-season. We do need Chair back if possible. He is the driving force of this side.
