I have bad feeling that Cook will leave in the Summer and we might as well expect Dunne too as well with Paal. Thats 3 of our regular back 4 that need replacing. We have Dale in (signed injured because ... well that's classic QPR).
This leaves us with JCS (Matty Rose Reincarnated) and Morrison (Matty Rose Fanboi) and no other replacement CB's. We shall have to once again get CB replacements in.
Frey will be kept as without a proven Forward you are dead in the Champ. We know, we have been down there and almost dead and then our Frowards decide to score a few and save ass ... until the next time they have to do it.

Our Income from broadcasting rights is more than gate receipts. |
That's why calls to increase capacity fall on deaf ears. Of course, we need to find ways of generating more income, but the footprint of the ground means little can be done at LR.
The quickest way is through transfer dealing. We have to get recruitment, player development and selling at maximum values - none of which have been great since Eze. Nor a long time before. |  |

Averages out at £133K per employee.
I bet none of the first team squad are on less than double that average. giving them a MINIMUM £5K per week. Plenty will be on double that. | |

I’ve been (naively, I accept) transparent about how I’ve come to hear some things about the current day to day at the club.
Of course I don’t know to the £ how much players are earning - you can count on one hand how many at the club do and it would be an enormous GDPR breach for them to disclose. And Nourry who approves the deals is hardly Mr Informative. Without being a cnt about it though, I’ve been told a rough figure for some of these guys. As to what the clubs working on much lower budgets than us pay their best players, of course again I’m guesstimating, but if the likes of Oxford, Pompey, Plymouth, Preston, Millwall, Coventry, Derby are paying what we are then whatever naive hopes I had for the future of football is gone.
Put it like this, Cook turned us down the first time for Forest and moved his family away from the south coast because he got his last long term, PL wages deal. He didn’t agree to rip that up and move his family again for a few grand a week. Colback didn’t turn down other clubs and move his family for a few grand a week. Both of those guys had to work with us on the phasing of their deals as well because of our FFP situation meaning year 2 would always be much higher. Frey and Andersen didn’t tear up their contracts at Liege and AaB and play the second half of last season for practically expenses in return for a few grand a week this season.
Fully respect that you see it differently, I’m happy to bring this thread back in 12 months though and we can compare the wage bills for this season and last. I’m comfortable it will have unfortunately increased a hefty amount. |

Information about salaries is not covered by GDPR.

I think we're crossing wires because you're confusing different conversations. I realise that it's difficult for your bored mind to comprehend so allow me to summarise.
I spoke only of the aggregate payroll figure, something which you dismissed as idle speculation. I went to the trouble of pinpointing the exact figure in the report yet you continue to deny its existence. Bully for you.
I agree that the report doesn't quote exactly what each individual earns. I never claimed that so take that up with whomever did. That particular point is therefore redundant for the purposes of our specific conversation.
My point is very different. Now, hopefully you live in the real world and you don't need to see payslips in order to appreciate that football players command generous salaries that dwarf that earned by club physios, doctors, groundsmen, ticket office staff, youth coaches, retail staff, caterers, turnstile operators, drivers, receptionists, etc. It's not a stretch therefore to presume that the first team squad account for the lion's share of the aggregate payroll figure (a point which you agreed with). As a result, the figures are enough to get a sense of the average salary of a first team player.
Now if you find this emotive, I apologise, but it's the world we currently live in. It may be unpalatable for some but getting to grips with the figures is vital to meeting P&S rules and ultimately achieving a sustainable model. Pretending otherwise would be foolish and counter-productive. [Post edited 25 Feb 15:57]

Makes perfect sense. That way we could keep our promising up and coming management team by not winning games and showing nothing of how talented they are. Should also work on the pitch, if we show we don't have any good players then we won't generate any future transfer fees, so everyone's a winner.
Throw in the deliberate loss of the 1986 Milk Cup Final (probably cos we liked Jim Smith and he was really an Oxford fan) and the obvious conspiracy around the 82 cup final replay and jobs a goodun |  |

I suspect Dunne will be offered a deal,. So will Cook and Frey, but on less money than currently. Will any of them accept?
