What happened to the Welsh lad who used to post on here? Dai Hoop was it?

Also, where has Smegma gone? He used to post about the reserves a lot?

Any other regular posters disappeared?

Alles goed jongen I don't post much at all these days, will have to start doing a bit more. Are you also in NL?

No, I'm in Berkshire, it's just that I studied Dutch for a while as part of my modern languages degree. It was eons ago but I thought I would trot out a bit of the lingo

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

Most of the following posters I've met but don't post anymore;

Charlie1 and hameggandchips (my two lads) Dai-hoop, Real-Loftus, Westolian, GanjR, Pablo-hoopster, Strange, Harkouks-newspaper, Harlsdon, Rodneysgonnger, Michael67, Jonnjo1, Jonno, Flameboy, Paddocks, Drewster, Albranger, NorthlondonR, Stranger40.

Hi Ted, I’m still here just don’t post much now. Hope you’re ok.
Tough year last year, in May the other half had emergency surgery for bowel cancer, complete surprise one Sunday evening and an ambulance call to take her in as she was suddenly in pain, and as it happens saved her life as the tumor was 4cm and nearly burst her bowel! We had no idea and no pre warnings. Thought it was appendicitis!
3 months of chemotherapy later and she’s all good. But still some tough months ahead.
LFW is a great escape from reality sometimes.

I started my messageboard life on qpr.org. Wonder what happened to Battletank, QPR Report, Chappers, Doran et al.

There is a bit about Battletank and qpr.org on pages 1 and 3 of this thread:

..introduce myself. I must be going senile, I was certain I'd posted in this forum before, but apparently not. So I believe it is the correct etiquette to make an introduction.

I recognise many posters on here from other forums, the original (and lamented) qpr.org and WATRB. I was one of the early members of qpr.org, posting on there from early 1997 (under a different moniker). For me it was the greatest QPR fans forum, enjoying a 'golden age' right through until the point Drew Garro ousted the site's founder Ben 'Battletank' Humphreys, in what was ostensibly a holding measure, but in what turned out to be a coup. Now that it's run as a personal fiefdom, it is not recognisable as the original dotorg.

I've spent a long time posting on WATRB, one becomes used to a forum as a 'home', but now and again I visit here, mainly to read Clive's excellent match reports. However it feels like such a good forum, I think I will stay a bit longer if you don't mind! It's interesting that each QPR forum has a different flavour and I'd say this is easily the most cultured. WATRB is arguably the most reactionary and right-wing (not all the posters, but the majority), but it still makes fascinating and entertaining reading. The new qprdot.org seems rather anodyne in comparison.

Cheers folks. Very much enjoying the threads on here.

(One a side note, the original dotorg still exists, but unfortunately it gets very little traffic).
