If our wonderful country at last makes it to the finals what will be the police position be on Swans and Cardiff fans, some mentioned on the weekend they will need to segregate them. Surely not ?

I mean we can't stand next to each other in derby games without bubble trips, is there anything that can be done to mend the differences. It's a very unique situation.

It's hardly unique. Think:
Millwall / West Ham
Portsmouth / Southampton
Newcastle / Sunderland
etc

Any backlash of any disturbances will initially be levelled at the FA's and not the clubs.

The Welsh FA have done little over the years to assist in this issue, actually I think they may have made situations worse. Especially with keeping all the games in Cardiff. Could have had one in Wrexham, one in Swansea and the rest in Cardiff.

At least in the Prem they have no governance over us 👍

Just go out there, enjoy, and behave. If people don't, throw them inside and ban them from football for 10 years minimum.people are tw@ts if they can't go and support their country together. Football doesn't need these people.

If we make it I hope the whole football community in the country gets behind Wales and puts local domestic issues to one side and come to together to support our great country as one mass of support.

Same from here. Likely to be about a 4/1 split in favour of the Swans these days though.
But we will all be there to support Wales.

Well moving the games around means it's like playing away/neutral venue each time as there would be different preparations. Wrexham is not up to UEFA standards anyway. Cardiff 33k sold out 10 weeks in advance, sorry to say but our ground doesn't even hold two thirds of that.

I'd happily sit next to a cardiff fan. We're supporting the same team after all. The backlash is pathetic.

Now we're doing well yes. How many times did the crowd at CCS exceed 20k in the last few years before this campaign? Especially for friendlies?

Not having one game at the Liberty is typical of the FAW's short-sighted attitude about Wales in general. If it isn't in Cardiff, it's irrelevant. It could just have been the Cyprus game at the Liberty, at least it would show the rest of the country that we have a football association that understands football in Wales is about more than just Cardiff. The Cyprus attendance was 21k by the way, so not many would have missed out. The atmosphere in a packed Liberty would have been distinctly better than it was that night in a one-third empty CCS, a real letdown after the excellent atmosphere at the Bosnia game.

'Like playing away/neutral venue each time'. What, because the poor players would have to use different changing rooms? The crowd would be the same as long as Cardiff residents were willing to travel for less than an hour. Even if they weren't those West Wales fans who don't want to travel to Cardiff would likely replace them anyway.

It must be embarrassing for the FAW suits that they don't take the national team to the home of the most successful club in Wales, to the stadium that football fans all around the world are now aware of. Cardiff's current malaise must be excruciating for them after the brief glimpse of success.

I know you're an apologist for every decision the FAW makes, but you haven't given any compelling reasons why at least 1 of every qualifying shouldn't be played at the Liberty. And I'm not one of the 'f*ck Wales' fans, I'm going to all the home qualifiers, as I have for many other qualifying campaigns. I'm just able to see that our football association are far from perfect.

You know, Hobbes, some days even my lucky rocket ship underpants don't help.

Spent the weekend in Brussels and didnt see any trouble. It was a fantastic occasion and atmosphere in the square before and after the game; dont see any reason why it wouldnt be the same in France?

A lot of Swansea fans follow Wales, we get along with Cardiff fans well on away trips and at home games its just a myth that Swansea fans dont follow wales! We get on well but sometimes you get the odd knuckle dragger. For example out in israela Swansea flag that was hung up but a cardiff fan tried to take it down but the rest of the cardiff fans stuck up for the lad with the swans flag. Its just a minority that cant put rivalry aside which is sad as other countries do it. But times have changed the #togetherstronger campaign has worked a treat and people have put rivalry aside which is great because we havent qualified for a major tournament since 1958 until now! Cant wait for June as that place down the road will be bouncing! If we Qualify it will be nice to see us Wales fans out there in force and together against the English. As long as Swansea dont organise an indipendant trip out there which caused havoc last time in Cardiff when Wales played England.

MTJ's Swansea flag was taken down in Israel by a Cardiff fan before some people remonstrated with said fan.

It is almost a certainty that if we make it to France there will be Cardiff fans looking to attack Swansea fans if (and only if) the numbers are in their favour.

The one on my leg is the least of my worries, I'd look stupid wearing gloves in June, don't bother me though that I have them on my hands, could be interesting at the Belgium game!!!!!!!!!

I agree on venues not being up to UEFA standard, but surely ours, if it is expanded, could be used for future qualifiers.

We need this to happen or all future Wales games will be at Legoland and we won't get a look in.

Put it this way, none of my mates will share a pub and a pint with them. Haven't been up town for a few years now. They tend to, or used to, stay in the Workies or the Cross Keys pubs. Some of our newer fans may have a pint with them these days.
