Recently returned home on summer leave. Taken car to Halfords Llanelli for service and MOT as I used an online voucher.
They just phoned to say it failed on wiper blades,headlights (wrong colour?) and brake discs and pads (front and rear). Quoted 700 quid to sort out. Im no expert but that seems ridiculous.
Just bought all parts on the list online for 94 quid. Any recommendations for fitting these parts and retesting?. Im based in Llanelli but willing to travel to a).not get ripped off and b).give my trade to honest mechanics.
Im sure there is a thread on this subject if I look hard enough so apologies in advance for my laziness in not trawling through.
Any help/recommendations gratefully accepted. I need it done next week as I return to Plymouth next weekend.

...at any swans game. For donkeys years she hasn't been interested despite my enthusiasm. Until I surprise her with tickets for yesterday. And she is now hooked.
As a rugby supporter she had always poured scorn on my fanaticism and 'didn't get it'. But now she does. The atmosphere yesterday was tremendous (a kind that you don't get at the rugby), and a massive thank you to all those around us that made it a special day. The jack army were relentless!
I did temper her new found enthusiasm with stories of me returning from Norwich/Watford/Newcastle/Leicester this season feeling utterly depressed,but yesterday was a day to savour.
A big-up to the players who came over at the end to give their shirts to the kids at the front. A heart warming sight.
The only danger now is she will want to make a habit of it next season subsequently costing me a packet!! |

Im up in the smoke this weekend. Staying in Waterloo. Any recommendations for a decent Friday night in the area?.There'll be about 12 of us tonight and idealy looking for a place to watch the rugby then on to some late night drinking. Cant find the Beer thread. But Im sure I remember a posting from a few months ago with you saying Bavaria is a decent tipple. Just to let you know its in ASDA for 88p a bottle (500ml). Nationwide and (apparently) online.Ive just cleared the shelf in Llanelli. Aplogies if it wasnt you but Im sure it will help somebody if they want a cheap (and great) lager....88p for almost a pint aint bad... |

Is the moment,as the most positive (in my eyes) fan believes, we are seriously in the sh*t and I feel sick..
