On a nice day a trip along the Gwaun Valley from Fishguard is a good day out.It will take you to the top of the Preselli Mountains, the site of the origin of the Stonehenge blue stone. There's a excellent view from up there on a clear day. There's a pub in the locality called the Tafarn Zinc which does good food.
It's a beautiful area and well worth a visit. |  | | |

i saw some nudists just around the corner (north) from the main beach when i went there, there was feck all else, we had to do a lovely coastal drive up to Aberystwyth to find some civilisation but we soon realised that place is sh!t so we went back to Newquay and had an indian from the only indian there. Was hanging. :)

You could charter a boat to see the dolphins which are off the New Quay coast.
Also 20 min up the road you have the seaside resort of Aberaeron with Harbourmaster Hotel for food and the award winning Honey Ice cream on the seafront.
Aberystwyth is another 20 min up the coast road. Head inland and you have the Cambrian Mountains up at Tregaron with the Talbot Hotel for food.
Going south you have Mwnt, also Tresaith and the Ship Inn pub.

The Cellar below the famous Chip shop is the place for a nice meal, lovely place, they do a mean Sunday Lunch as well.
