I'll be 200 miles away in Hertfordshire wearing my Keith Hill signed away shirt sitting on my sofa screaming at the TV for Martin Atkinson to give us 'anything/something' against those Premiership Namby Pamby lot ;-) C'mon Dale!! |

Morning!! As a Hertfordshire based Dale fan of 35 years, Im obviously looking forward to tomorrows game at Stevenage. This is my 'home' match as I live a stones throw away from the ground and when Stevenage got promoted I was persuaded to sponsor the game which has meant bringing along 20 of my mates, many of whom have followed the 'boro' over the past few years. If we win then deep joy - if we lose, then complete and utter misery, as we are going out in Steveange Old Town afterwards (the only decent part of the town). So if you see someone in a new away shirt going mental in the main stand (id much rather be in the away end) tomorrow when we score, that'll be me... If you see someone in a new away shirt getting jumped on by 20 of Stevenages finest, when we concede, that'll be me... My mates will sponsor the return fixture in February...hopefully by then my hangover will have gone or the bruises will have healed....just dont want to lose!!!! |

After last nights results I assume there will be a few more of us travelling down to Colchester for Saturday. Dont think we have played at the new ground yet, but I went there a few weeks ago with my son to watch his side, Southampton play (yes next Tuesday will be interesting!!) ...parking is all on industrial estates which are 5-10 minutes walk from the ground and are £8/£10 which is a rip off considering how far they are away - some parking on the verges nearby but a few had tickets on, on the way out, so beware - there were over 6000 there so maybe they were extra vigilant that day - a And ignore the postcode listed on the football league grounds website, which says it will take you an industrial estate near the ground - put it in my sat nav and ended up in Marks & Spencers in the high street - 5 miles from the ground - nice sandwiches though!!! 2-1 win O'Grady to get his scoring boots back on :-) |
