After a worrying first 15mins we settled down and played some good stuff. The tactical switch by Beale seemed to work really well and meant they created very little late on. Great win against a very good side.

Watched this on the Red Button so one fixed camera didn't give enough detail on my (too small) TV to rate the players, though I thought Sam Field was very good when the Blades tried to put us under pressure in the second half.

What I thought was interesting was how we mostly controlled the game with little possession. We seemed happy to concede space out wide and live with the risk of crosses coming in as the central defenders and others knew their jobs so well a Sheff U striker was rarely in space. The stats showed Blades had 21 shots with only 5 on target, but nearly all the shots were by attackers under pressure, a defender up tight and preventing anything more dangerous happening. Seny only had to make one really smart save (I think). It certainly didn't feel like a game where a team with 21 shots was on top.

In a nutshell bloody brilliant and amazing to see how well Beale has got the defence organised.

Managed to find a dodgy feed with Sky and London/Sinton commentary

The penalty shout was 6of1andhalfadozenoftheother; they were both shirt grabbing

An outstanding team performance exemplified by the goal

Wish I had been there

Like Beale said, a winning performance required for the home fans on Friday. Assuming anyone can actually get to the ground through the strikes and Friday evening gridlock.
