I don't have any theories, Ux said earlier that the Trust were going to get people involved who could add advice even if they weren't able to devote the time to joining the Trust board and I said I thought that was an excellent idea.
I have no idea what advice they did get (other than the QC) to say whether any other advice could or could not have had any influence,

And who's to say that the trust didn't take any further advice?
I didn't say that. In fact I specifically said so.
But the post earlier implied that it was a new initiative, which I welcomed and said it was very positive.
So when you said in the vote results thread that "some people have a fair bit of experience with some of this stuff, and no one was particularly interested in listening", doesn't that imply the Trust didn't take further advice?

No.
It implies that the discussions on here were being routinely dismissed and that there were people on here making valuable points that were being ignored.
One post sticks in my mind when nookie was discussing tax and was told that the Trust would listen to their own financial advisors thanks very much. The point that was being raised was a reasonable question and I happen to know that nookie has relevant experience and yet it was dismissed out of hand.
Shaky also made some pertinent points and they were dismissed.
Shaky made some excellent points, but for some reason he was dismissed and ridiculed by some posters, Daz springs to mind over the years , shame hes not here now.
