Sounds positive and also confident in what he is doing. Seems to be working on next season already with the ins and outs of the club, but when asked will players be going he was quite quick to reply with some players HAVE to go. What a relief haha. Talks about Accrington a bit though, can see them getting the double over us comfortably next season with us fielding 11 youth team players.... |

Strangely that is the attitude I walked out of Spotland with, not with biterness but with sincere relief. I'm just happy we can now start to look into the future and not the past, because briefly that was our black and white flag. Thought the fans were stupendous tonight, not a single groan and weirdly I saw more smiles around the stands than I have for weeks. Good riddance to this season, and with the next.. I bet Coleman can't wait to see the R appear next to our name, at least he can then start fresh & get a chance at fulfilling what he is here for. |

Keep seeing this lads name pop up everywhere & seeing him play a few times, I wonder could he be given a chance this season? Very talented lad actually. Knows the game tremendously well and likes to get stuck in! Reminds me of Scholes in some aspects. |

Whether that is in League 1 or 2. New season, new start, new squad and a new vibe! This season can simply be brushed under the rug and never seen again for all i care. Its just been a massive shambles by all accounts, 3 different managers. 2 failures. And a squad of heartless, cold, uninspiring players. I'm just hoping Coleman has what it takes to persuade the following players to continue with us. Widdowson - Can't see it though, doesn't seem to be that connection. Holness - Shambles this year for him, but at League 2 level he's beyond adequate. Kennedy - Biggest highlight of this seasons squad. Jones - Inspiration to most players at L2 level & can spur people on. Tutte* - Without a doubt, a must keep. Really can't see it though. Eyre & Beech wasted the lad. JLAA - Attitude is fantastic, power & pace is what we need. Work constantly on his end product, we have a proper striker. Adams - Bar his latest 'Twitter' rubbish. He's a great player imo & can be a real good product in climbing the football ladder again. Long - If Burnley will allow him to come back out on loan. Wouldn't waste my time on the rest of them.. |

I wonder how many times these three words have been said on this board over the last couple of months, and for most Saturday was the icing on the cake of relegation. I was one of the ones to doubt them come 4:45! But not until I looked at the remaining fixtures, us and our relegation rivals. Walsall (H) Yeovil (A) Sheff Utd (H) Exeter (H) Chesterfield (A) Mk Dons (H) Orient (A) All home games are winnable! People will read that and think I'm daft as a kite but its true. The bigger games we know, Rochdale rise to. It just happens, then with our home form starting to lift maybe we can put something extra in! One more Tuesday game out of this bunch and thats Sheff Utd. I'm sorry but I'm feeling more optimistic than ever right now. Something has got to give, our form has to take a turn. No team continues the same form throughout the season and hopefully the final 7 is our patch. - Walsall - Exeter - Chesterfield - Mk Dons They should be the games we are taking all three from. Then, a draw against Sheff Utd anyone? & maybe just maybe, the last day will lie on us. Come on Dale! |
| Forum Thread | To the end at 22:31 20 Mar 2012
As much as tonight really dampened things, I think from now we have just got to go to the end. We have nothing to lose, and as much as certain groups will disagree I personally think the booing has to stop as bad as we play. It does no one favours and only puts pressure on the lads. To the end is what we need to do. If we go down, we go down! But not with a whimper ey? Come on Dale. I've still got faith, 5 points isn't to bad. We HAVE to keep picking up point, preferably 3! |
| Forum Thread | Fabrice Muamba & Real Madrid at 22:07 18 Mar 2012
The more I keep hearing and reading the more slim it looks. Really hope he pulls through it, horrible disaster. Still in a critical condition. What the Real players did was warming in thought of Muamba and Abidal - whom is undergoing a lung transplant. |

Always said once the man scores one, he won't stop. Hopefully that's the case! If he can bang three in one game, don't see any other reason why he would stop now. His confidence will be sky high. Credit to Jonah for handing over that spot kick to him though.. |

What was happening at the end with the Oldham fans. Looked like they was all fighting each other! Anyone get a good look on it.. Can't get over the Biffo that ran on the pitch with the biggest Kuqi celebration fail possible, only to see his sides goal disallowed. Arf! |
| Forum Thread | Proper derby at 17:17 17 Mar 2012
Gritty, scrappy but most of all entertaining... 50/50 on the Owdum disallowed goal. Kuqi's goal was a treat. Symes' hat-trick was even better. Come on Dale! Some really nice football being played from our lads. Another win, and another step towards safety. Shame it was spoiled by a shite referee! |

This is the kind of player we need ,Gary jones is getting on a bit but epitomises the kind of player that we DO NOT have in our team now ,the amount of time he carried the ball half the length of field today Are there any players out there who play well at there current clubs who could come to us and carry on that form ,up to press we seem to train out all the good things that they bring ,hopefully SG wont. Quote from a reply Gary posted. "Gary Jones: Everyone has written us off mate! We all need to stick together like never before. If we do I promise you we will get out of this shit!" You heard the man. We need to stick together and get through together! & No before anyone starts slating him, I don't think that is a dig at the fans. It's the hard truth. Come on lads! |

Next season.. (If Southampton and Reading go up ) Dawson Holt Lambert Alfie Any more? It's an achievement in itself. |
| Forum Thread | Tutte situation? at 22:07 3 Mar 2012
What is actually going on with him? No doubt the lad is good enough to start, or get more than 10 minutes each week. Is there an attitude problem, or is he simply just not good enough? Because all 3 managers haven't had much faith in him. From what I see, he's more than capable of changing games around. & atm, he's the only player we have that doesn't seem scared to have a drive, and a good dig at goal. |

is it just me or is anybody excited to see cog back tomorrow? for some reason, it's a lot different to when the likes of lambert and holt returned. no doubt, he'll get a massive cheer and standing ovation. nothing less that he deserves! hope the boo boys don't come out tomorrow!! .... not to excited to see him on top of his game though. |

Gonna' keep this short and simple. I personally and this being my opinion, thought joey had a great game when he came on. he looked strong, and was always looking for the passes that can only benefit the team and the scoreline. not only that, but when he had the ball out wide, not just the odd time but on a number of occasions he whipped a intriguing ball right in the mixer, unfortunately for some reason or another the ball just wouldn't land right for us today. well done son, i hope you won a few doubters over today. not only that, but it is nice to see players who, lets say aren't fans favourites, or aren't stars at the club but when given the chance, they put in their shift and give their all and which i think at this moment in time, is everything we need. also to add, i thought we was unlucky not to get anything out of that game today. feel we dictated for the majority of the game, but was punished with a goal against run of play. nice to see that piece of scum stroll down the tunnel early as well. |
