I agree about Reg stand or sommat and there are others who would be worthy of a mention and after a rethink and probably more apt would be something along the lines of the area in front of the main entrance being called "Monty's walk"....very apt i thought. |

Just a thought but what about the club inviting folk to join the supporters team or something along those lines with a carrot of a family ticket for those who participate in trials or the likes.Make them feel welcome with a tour of the stadium etc with other supporters players.Have the crack with them and show them that we can all laugh together and welcome them to matches. |

Thats the negativity that needs to be shown the door.At the wembly play-off final i saw an indian family in the Dale contingent and thought at the time how refreshing it was and gave them a big smile because i thought it was great to see.Maybe they wasn't from rochdale i dont know but more things can and should be done to encourage more into the fold. |

It sounds as though we was the young guns, lol because Billy Popham (Cyrils older brother played for the older lads).I remember us being in the manchester sunday league and we too had a good record except the game against Burnley (lost 10-0) |

I would like to put an idea forward and wonderd what peoples thoughts would be.I personally think that something should be done to honor Moggy.Besides all the walking etc for charity he has done, the streaking etc.I think it may not have been realised by many people that over the years especially through the hard times of the club when it was at its lowest point,he played a large part in creating interest and atmosphere in the sandy and i reckon that if it wasn't for Moggy, there would have been quite a few who wouldn't have attended.I think maybe the older generation will get my jist.I will never forget Moggy and will be forever in his debt for making my visits to spotland and other places such a joy. I put forward that the sandy be named after him and his ladder permenantly fixed to it. Peoples thoughts please. |

in football and maybe tempt them up to spotland. Just a thought but what about a tournament held throughout the season, maybe groups in the lines of a mini international cup competition with the final held at spotland at the end of the season. Each team could represent their country of origin say, like Poland,England,India,Pakistan and so on and so on.Bit of fun i'm sure and would surely help in bringing the townsfolk together. Thoughts please ? |
