This story is taking off more than I thought it would.
The One Show now want to get involved.
They are sending a TV crew to Manchester Airport to be there for when Jesús lands.
They have said it would be amazing if there could be a few Dale fans there to meet him when he walks into the arrival lounge.
Who wants to be involved? The down side is he lands at 2330 Friday night so don’t anticipate him coming through until after midnight.
The more the merrier though. Would be a great piece and will put the club in a great light.

Morning folks.
It’s been a while since I’ve been on the forum.
I’d like to thank everyone who donated to this
I can advise everyone that Jesús (SpanishDale) has booked flights to come and watch Rochdale for the final game of the season at home to Charlton.
It’s been a long time coming but Jesús has had commitments with his family and his studies but has managed to get a window in his busy schedule to come and see the Dale.
He is very grateful for everyone’s generosity.
I will give more details of his arrival nearer the time.

Did anyone who travelled to Fleetwood and stood in the terrace behind the goal either find a bunch of keys or hear anything about a bunch being found? A friend of mine lost a set and reckon it may have been there.
Fleetwood don’t know anything about any being found.

Hi everyone. I've met SpanishDale today.
I'm in Spain visiting family near to Benidorm. Have been speaking to Jesús on WhatsApp and over the course of a couple of days he agreed to come down and meet me. (He lives 97 miles away).
His cousin drove him from Albacetè to Alicante and from there he caught a bus.
We picked him up from Benidorm station and had s lovely meal and a couple of drinks.
Lovely lad. Speaks English better than myself and is looking forward to coming across and seeing everyone. He thinks he'll be across maybe quite soon in the next couple of months but will confirm that.
I took photos and videos but haven't a clue how to post them on here.

As others have said above, Keith was a talented GK. I have fond memories of being a 13yr old kid travelling down on the train with all the Dale fans to Crystal Palace and seeing Keith put in a world class performance that deserved more than the 1-0 loss.
My other vivid memories of him are his ultra cool porno tash that he had at the time and I'm sure he had a really deep booming voice that ensured his defenders were in no doubt where they had to be or who to mark.
I'm sad to hear your unwell Keith but being the hero that you are (you were mine as a kid on the Sandy Lane terrace) then I'm sure you'll fight this all the way.
I hope we see you back at the club sometime soon. You'd be welcomed back with open arms. |

Sorry it's been a while since the last update.
We raised just short of £500.
SpanishDale or Jesús Sanchez to give him his full name is chuffed to bits.
We have sent him the equivalent of £110 today from
the fund via Western Union so he can watch the games live on iFollow.
He has never owned a passport believe it or not, but off the back of our generosity has gone and got one! He has proudly sent me a picture of it on WhatsApp and has ensured me he will be choosing a game to attend over the next few weeks.
When we know exactly when he's coming we'll update you further.
As I've mentioned previously, if anyone wants to be part of our WhatsApp group then drop me a PM or contact me on twitter ( @Bluejonnyvimto). We have 3 exiles in the group now along with a few other fans and it's been good chatting to them all.

Thought that myself Col so put that to him. He seems happy to come by himself.
The WhatsApp group I've created isn't exclusive. If anyone wants adding just get in touch with your number and I'll add you. I've given him instruction of how to log on here and contribute and hopefully he'll get round to doing that.
An alternative to using the money wisely could even be for him to come over twice! |

The original offer was he could stay at mine. He still seems keen to do that to be honest.
Depending on how much the flights cost I would imagine any extra money would go towards merchandise for him to take home and maybe a bit of spending money for him.
But this may all change. He'll need a chaperone so the Hilton doesn't sound like a bad idea after all!! |

NEW TOTAL £325.
I'm pleased to tell everyone that SpanishDale is now aware of what everyone has done for him and he has agreed to come over! He is overwhelmed.
I've managed to get a WhatsApp group up and running so I can speak to him easily.
I know there are several people who haven't yet donated, myself included as they wait for pay day etc.
We decided to use CrowdFunding so it was transparent for everyone to see. The site will take 5% of the donation but I felt it was better his way. Hope you all agree.
My next step is to get SpanishDale registered on the forum so we can all get familiar with him, especially the folk that don't use twitter.
Although myself and Daz expected a good response to this idea, I don't think we expected this level of genourosity so I thank you all very much.
I can't wait to finally get him to sunny Rochdale!! |

WOW. This is amazing. Thank you everyone for your donations so far. I haven't put in yet either!
Although the target is met, I'd still like people to donate if you can. We can buy him memorabilia, shirt, scarf and other paraphernalia.
Due to the amazing response, I have contacted SpanishDale and told him what's going on and sent him a link to the funding page. I don't know what his response will be but as soon as I receive a reply I will let you know!

Honest answer is I don't know how old the lad is. Don't even know if he's got a passport.
Someone who speaks to him regularly on twitter is trying to discreetly get a little more information about him so it's in hand. |
