| Forum Thread | THE ONE SHOW (SpanishDale) at 17:18 2 May 2018
This story is taking off more than I thought it would. The One Show now want to get involved. They are sending a TV crew to Manchester Airport to be there for when Jesús lands. They have said it would be amazing if there could be a few Dale fans there to meet him when he walks into the arrival lounge. Who wants to be involved? The down side is he lands at 2330 Friday night so don’t anticipate him coming through until after midnight. The more the merrier though. Would be a great piece and will put the club in a great light. If anyone is interested, either add to this thread or contact me directly by e-mail. E-mail. Beck21941@hotmail.co.uk |
| Forum Thread | LOST KEYS AT FLEETWOOD at 11:04 16 Oct 2017
Did anyone who travelled to Fleetwood and stood in the terrace behind the goal either find a bunch of keys or hear anything about a bunch being found? A friend of mine lost a set and reckon it may have been there. Fleetwood don’t know anything about any being found. Thanks |

Good evening. I'd like to have everyone's opinion on an idea myself and a fellow Dale fan came up with. I don't post on here often but you may or may not know me better as "Jonny Vimto" on twitter. If you post often on twitter you will be well aware of the loveable Spanishdale, who's dream it is to come and watch the mighty Dale one day. I asked him casually on twitter about it the other day offering him full board at my gaff if he could enquire about the flights. He gracefully turned my offer down, I think he was a little embarrassed or maybe cannot afford the flights (total guess btw) I got chatting to Darren Roy or @Dazzler36 on twitter (Sorry Darren don't know your UN on here) and we thought it would be a lovely gesture if a few of us could put our hand in our pocket and try and get the lad over here. Darren has got the bare bones of a GoFundMe page ready to go but just wanted to gauge everyone's opinion on here first. If it did get off the ground then it would be lovely for the lad to have a weekend watching the Dale and maybe meet the players and have a tour of the ground etc. Just a quick ball park figure, Sept flights to Manchester and back are £100. Anyway, your thoughts please. Up the Dale. @bluejonnyvimto [Post edited 15 Jun 2017 19:19]

| Forum Thread | 22 Years ago.. the penalty missed 3 times at 10:22 16 Sep 2012
Reading "the truth" fwin saw R17ALE mention this penalty incident v Doncaster 22 years ago. If I'm remembering correctly... we missed it twice, but the ref let us retake it both times due to the goalkeeper moving too early off his line! Then the 3rd time we missed it again! I was stood right behind the goalkeeper in the Sandy Lane end and couldn't believe what I was seeing. 3 things... 1. Who took the penalties.. I think Wayne Goodison took one 2. Has this ever been done before/since? 3. What was the result of the game? [Post edited 1 Jan 1970 1:00]

Really angry after today's game. Why oh why after 2 great performances did our manager decide to go back to 4-5-1 at home? Charlton fans must have been laughing at us as their centre halves were allowed the freedom to walk the ball up to our halfway line. Low and behold 2nd half, although I expected changes we didn't get any but he allowed JLAA and Grimes more freedom to get forward and we got goals! So we get back to 2-2, top of the league side on the wrack and he goes back to the formation that didn't work in the first place!! We have such talented forward players, have some faith in them SE. Is it any wonder were conceding goals when were inviting teams onto us? 100% effort from the players, manager cost us today. I really feel that this was a game had we took it to them after 2-2 we could have gone on to win. And one more thing. Anyone else getting pissed off that we bring EVERYONE back for corners, even when were 2-0 down?! [Post edited 1 Jan 1970 1:00]

Remember him? Promising young goalie who didn't make the grade with us few seasons ago? Just seen him getting out of a works van covered in paint and plaster in Heald Green. He actually turned down a move to Liverpool aswell when he was at Stockport. Moral of the story? Before we bad mouth players/staff for moving on, just remember Jamie Spencer. I'm sure he's making a decent living but he'll always regret the day he didn't move on. |
