Hills departure was a messy affair and one that angered a lot of supporters at the time. If somebody kicks you it doesnt mean you have to limp for the rest of your life though.
When Hilly left the club he was a good manager and i dont think that will have changed so its a great move for both parties. Yes, a lot of fans voiced their displeasure but its all part of the footballing circus and it doesnt make people two faced for voicing their displeasure at a percieved bit of "nest feathering" on Hillys part. |  | | |

I will hold my hands up as i did..
But my reason was as follows....
He said he was staying and in the same breath jumped ship...
I have no problems with people wanting to better themselves at all..
But to do it the way keith did still gets my back up...
But thats all water under the bridge and i know hill is the man to steer Dale forwards....

It's an easy one to answer, is this.
I didn't begrudge Hilly moving to a "bigger" club. However, I did dislike him for saying he wasn't going to a bigger and then leaving for a bigger club a few days later. I did also dislike him for denying that he was about to jump ship for the Tranmere job.
However, not once have I ever questioned his ability as a manager. In realistic terms, he is the best possible manager available to us at this current time. For that reason alone, I am delighted he is back and hope that he stays 'back' for as long as possible. |  |
