They usually start off as regular posters, but because they're new and people aren't familiar with them they don't get as many replies to their posts as regular posters do.
They perceive this as some kind of 'persecution' and feel that everyone else is 'ganging up' against them and not replying on purpose.
Rather than build up a positive reputation by regularly posting common sense they take the 'shortcut' of changing their username and being inflammatory/ridiculous to provoke people into responding to them.
Unfortunately it usually works and they get the attention they wanted and so it carries on.
OR...they're bored of waiting for puberty and take it out on everyone else.
