This is the best possible news this season. I am over the moon and I really believe he will serve us well. A great shot in the arm ahead of the bury derby. What a start for Coleman if he were to give us a win. He will try tooth and nail to keep us in League 1 and should he fail I am very hopeful we will be there or thereabouts in with a chance of getting back again. We couldn't have got a better man at this time to lead us.
I feel very sorry for the Accy fans. We know how it feels to have an excellent manager taken away from us. There's no need to look for a number 2, and all the risks associated, as he has a tried and tested number 2 already in Bell.

It seems to me he needs a 2-year contract because that's how long took to settle in at Accrington. If he does take us down (which I hope not) we should give him another year or so to get us back up. Those who wouldnt play for Beech should be let go asap. | | | |

I dont think we can afford to let 18 players go, because from the games i saw, none of them wanted to, glad we can put the first half of the season behind us and now have the sort of candidate that is right for the club.
Hopefully hughes will follow him across, a winger and a striker, then i think we'll see league one still next year

Agree with the posters re: Beechy - hope he stays on, and some of the players should have a long hard look at themselves regarding their performances during his tenure. Feeling unmotivated by managerial changes is one thing, not doing your job is another.

However, his record speaks for itself. He's done an amazing job at Accy and I worry for them long term now he's gone. Assuming he isn't one of these "only meshes with one club" managers, the Paul Jewell model, he could be a fabulous appointment.
