Saints fans of a certain age will remember him for Aston Villa, suffered a knee injury early in his career that meant he didn't have as long a career as he should have
Had a fall at his home and died from head injuries, he was only 63 |

1. The beer in the fanzone is awful and the stewarding is non existent, queue jumping was easy to do I noticed and I saw a lot jump in the moment a steward turned the other way.
2. Good to see that Elijah/SFC Ref got a good round of applause, it was also good to have a drink in honour of him up in Carlton Place after the game.
3. The Northam End sing even less than they did last season, there is no away fans for them to bounce off, the atmosphere is getting worse not better.
4. Why do stewards stand in front of the stairs at an exit at the end of the game, therefore blocking the way.
5. THis Saturday has now gone, all that matters is next Saturday |

He left for Chelsea at the same time as Tyler Dibling, but he chose to stay at Stamford Bridge when Dibling decided to come back.
One of them is now playing in the Premier League whilst the other is not even first choice striker for Chelsea's Premier League 2 team.
It will be interesting to see how he progresses |

I travelled to Brighton listening on the radio to events unfolding in the USA.
At the Withdean we sat in a little stand with about 4 rows of seats on the side of the running track watching Saints win their first game of the season after 3 straight Premier League defeats.
We won 3-0 James Beattie a minute before half time and two Anders Svensson goals, also the first goals of the season in front of 6,489.
Anyone else make this trip. |

I hear something that shocked me if you are a season ticket holder in the Saints Bar Hospitality suite, then you can get priority on all away game tickets, you don't need to have a history of going to previous away games you can just log on and get a ticket.
Anyone a season ticket holder there who can confirm this |

Thread | Decent Start For Ralph Hasenhuttl At Wolfsburg

It is early days, but after saving them from relegation at the tail end of last season, Ralph seems to be doing well in the Bundesliga for Wolfsburg, they won the opening game away to Holstein Kiel and in the second lost 3-2 at home to Bayern Munich to a late goal.
They have also won away in the first round of the German cup.
In pre season they drew 4-4 at Brentford
Good to see he is back and doing well

Thanks to everyone for their contributions to this site, last month was our second best month since January 2018, when it was exceptional due to the departure of Virgil Van Dijk.
August 2024 was second only to August 2023, but only by 4,000 page impressions, as I had a few days away around the Newcastle game and with the transfer window ending on a Friday night when I was at a birthday party, I think we would have easily have gained those extra 4,000 hits if I had been sat putting up the late transfer business. |
