When we avoided relegation in 17/18 after being so far adrift, I think there was a similar thread towards the end of the season which followed the scores of the other clubs around us.
In the spirit of superstition starting it now could help again. Theory being the earlier the better and safe by Easter.

Anything less then a draw then we a buggered, the other teams are picking up wins, I would a win, but with that team, I cannot see us getting anything.
Jim, needs to make changes tomorrow and stop giving the players that have failed time after time. Tomorrow I would take a chance and drop Nelson, John, Ball and Odoh (I suspect that this won't happen). The team, I would select and it may not win, but it may put up more of a fight.

Tomorrow a 24 game season starts 12 home games 12 away game we will survive if we achieve over 35 points. It is a tall ask but apparently these are professional footballer. Bloomin' well go out and show why you earn a living playing this game. Why when a scout saw you playing the game as a youngster thought yes this lad has potential. Play with some effing determination and leave everything on the picture. Do these players want on their record relegating a team that through thick and thin despite despite not having wealthy backers not being a darling of the media and being a go to team for TV coverage. Have stood up been counted and survived. | |

Based on the last 10 League Two seasons the average number of points needed to finish 1 point above 23rd is 44.2. In season 2021/22 Biffos finished on 38 points, hence 39 is the requirement if you want to base your hopes on last season's escape total.
The respective escape totals (1 point more than 23rd) starting 10 years ago to last season are 52, 51, 42, 35, 47, 47, 42, 41, 46 & 39. [Post edited 1 Jan 2023 20:54]

I don't feel its lack of effort on the pitch...sadly some of these players simply don't have the ability to perform consistently at this level.
I go into games now expecting us to lose.
Jim B has a horrendous task on his hands.
How many of these players have put in an above average performance over 5 games on at least 3 occasions?
No i cant think of one either...
The writing is firmly on the wall ..lets hope Jan can give us some hope otherwise i think we will be dead and buried by mid march.
