Lets not get it twisted, FF was average at best for a sizeable chunk of the period he was with us. Made a lot of mistakes and was caught out of position often. However, the last 12-18 months he was with us he came on significantly and ended up being one of our best players. Seems he has continued that upward curve with Newcastle. Good luck to him. We can add him to the rather small list of players who have done better since they have left here.
"Michu, Britton and Williams could have won 3-0 on their own. They wouldn't have required a keeper."
Excellent defender and leader whose only weakness was a failure to find a team mate with a pass, but in mitigation the star midfielder was in hiding at the time.
‘……. like a moth to Itchy’s flame ……’
Excellent defender, and a top fella, who didn't deserve half the criticism he used to get on here.
Aye, the only downside is that we had a recruitment genius who was in charge of transfers at the time, that thought he was a better option than Virgil Van Dijk. Oh well.

A constant 7/10 player, just like Jack Cork. That was good enough. Those type of players you need. Better than a 9/10 one week and 5/10 for the next two weeks.
Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

He ended up being one of our best players because the quality around him deteriorated to that point, not because he improved imho.
One of the best centre backs to have ever played for the Swans with over 30 full international caps for Argentina he’s an outstanding talent. Got his first cap while playing for Napoli in Serie A whilst in his early 20s he has continued to show this season that he’s an established Premier League player. And yet he wasn’t deemed to be good enough for some of Planetswans most clueless including Dr Winston OBoogie Woogie. 😂
Only an idiot would eat a turkey curry on Christmas day

A bargain at only £6m too! He's been a superb signing for them
I'm amazed we got that much for him considering we were 'fire selling' at the time. If only Huw could have held out a bit longer, they could have had him on a free!

I liked him, always did. It was obvious he was a cut above our normal level from the start. Not a world beater, but then he wouldn’t be with us if he was.

Indeed. You could tell we’d miss him when he bossed our first Championship game even though it was his last. Barely broke sweat but was easily the best player on the pitch.
Mind you, we’ve had a couple of gems come through in Rodin and Cabango to fill the gap (Joe certainly).

Rodin is a thinker but is occasionally statuesque.

This exactly!
He hardly plays for Newcastle either only when they have injuries or play 3 at the back.
Some people have short memories though.

Except, of course, for beautifully setting up Llorente (#5 v. Crystal Palace) and Mawson (v. Leicester City). Completely unsung, he was.
One of the best defenders we have had in the past decade and beyond.
Rangel, Monk, Williams, Ben Davies, Chico Flores were all better defenders we have had in the last 10 years imo.
FF used to give the ball away alot early on in his time here. That said, we were spoilt having Williams here for so long who was a Rolls Royce for teh vast majority if it. Enough to make any of the other CB;s we had look average
