I agree. It is very rare we have a ref who gives us the benefit of the doubt.
A couple of times I thought he would pull us up but he let us play on. Conversely he spotted every foul by them with gusto.
I actually almost had some sympathy with their ironic cheers when they got a few free kicks late on.
Perhaps we better not broadcast this too loudly or Atkinson will be back with a vengeance next time. [Post edited 4 Mar 2018 15:23]

Genuinely nice bloke in real life according to someone I know who used to work in the hotel where the refs all stay. Most of the refs are arrogant dicks apparently (especially Mike dean unsurprisingly) but Atkinson is always happy to stop and chat about football and has time for everyone. |  |
