He told them he wants to go to a better team. He has been linked with Villa.

Live near Peterborough and speaking to a lot of their fans - some of who know what they are saying - other who dont (ring any bells) Lewis is Crocked - his knee is shot and since injury he is totally unreliable - before he got injured he was not great but since injury his confindence is gone - also heard he was on crutches at the Derby game and they were glad to be rid of him.

Also heard since Everton looked at him he has become a "big time charlie" and as he was on near 8k a week he is well and truely surplus.

Paul Hayes would be a great signing off Charlton as I believe he is wanting to move back towards Scunthorpe where his family are - But again can we afford the sort of wages that Holty wanted when Shrewsbury outpaid us - in excess of 4k a week and thats if Charlton dont want a fee as well!!!!

I suspect Freddie Eastwood will end up back at Sarfend, particularly if they win through the playoffs.

Tadgh Purcell might be worth a shout, though.

I would guess so re Eastwood - They will pay more and Mosques dont have lead on their roofs ;)

Only player from the list who i think has any sort of chance, but is still unlikely is coid, highly rated before injuries took hold. Unless he sees the others as squad players, on low wages such as guthrie up top, wouldnt mind.

Leader of the little gang of immature cretins.

CHESTERFIELD (apologies if already listed; following from newspaper):

John Sheridan has offered new 12-month deals to five out-of-contract players but has told 10 of the first-team squad that they can go.

Youngsters Craig Clay and Tendayi Darikwa, who started just three games between them this season, plus super-sub striker Scott Boden and midfielders Mark Randall and Danny Whitaker all have the chance to re-sign.

No deals have been offered to Aaron Downes, Greg Fleming, Simon Ford, Dan Gray, Jimmy Juan, Jamie Lowry, Alex Mendy, Dean Morgan, Derek Niven and Gregor Robertson.

Loan players Josh Thompson, Franck Moussa, Nicky Ajose and Liam Ridehalgh have returned to their parent clubs.

BOSS John Sheridan has blasted Dean Morgan, one of the players he has released after Chesterfield’s relegation.

“He’s got a bad attitude,” said Sheridan. “I spoke to him one on one many times about what he needed to do for the team but he doesn’t help himself.

“If he doesn’t step things up he’ll struggle to find another club.”

Exeter haven't released the names of their released players yet but Daniel Nardiello has joined Rotherham on a free

I'd love to see Josh Thompson back at Dale. I thought he was under used when he was on loan, but he never put a foot wrong when he did play.

I'd make Greg Fleming as our New Goalkeeping Coach but i wouldn't have him anywhere near Matchday Football

would he just stay home on matchdays then or would he shout at the keepers what he wanted to do during the warm up from the touchline?? it'd be a waste of a wage if you didn't have him near the team on matchdays....

If I was going to take a crocked keeper, I'd have Lillis over Lewis any day! :)

Derek Niven always impresses whenever I see him, he's just been released by Chesterfield.

Have to agree - being 6 foot 6 does not make you a good keeper!!!

Possibly out of contract and because he was not 1st choice has decided he is leaving, but certainly good keeper who will not struggle to find new club-of more interest to us could be Lillis

Fleming is only in his mid 20s. Doubt he'd want/be able to go into coaching yet.

Rob Burch looked a decent keeper last time he played against us (Lincoln?) 6' 2" and big with it - ideal for league 2 I would have thought
