We could do worse than having a look at Ben Burgess, Ben Strevens, and Lionel Ainsworth.

McNamee is a pacey winger who got lots of assists for holty at Norwich in l1 probably out of wage policy but a good player

Andy Gray, Jam Mceverly, Alex Bruce and Jamal Campbell-Ryce would be cracking signings - not that I can see us being able to afford any of them.

Would sooner have Shaun Reid back than Reuban Reid - I know we need players with attitude - but him and AG - God help us!!!!!

Some very interesting names there. The majority of those Notts C players are proven at L2 level for sure.

It'll all come down to cash as usual, though. There'll be a lot of clubs vying for those players' signatures and, as usual, we'll be somewhere near the bottom of the pile.

Reid, proven at league two level and didnt do too badly for oldham when fit, oldham fans seemed to like him, preffering him to kuqi upfront.

Scores goals and very capable of holding the ball up. Don't mind players with edge and attitude IF they produce on the bitch.

Reuben reid would do for me.

If Oldham can't afford Diamond's wage demands (which is why they let him go), there's no way we can. Besides, he's something of a spent force now. There's better in his position out there.

Players like Gray and Webber are well out of our league, sadly. They'll get another Championship club or a top L1 club for sure.

Id definitely be looking at Oli Johnson ex Stockport and Norwich. Bags of talent - seems to have lost his way a little but still only 24 and lots of potential if we can get him right. I imagine we'll sign Ian Craney!

Its a BRILLIANT goal to cap a BRILLIANT start by Rochdale - Don Goodman 26/08/10

Yeah think Craney's nailed on.

Not disappointed in that IF he stays fit, decent creative player when fit. Was the driving force behind accy's play-off season according to their fans.

I didnt mention craney as i also think he coming to spotland could be a good midfield with kennedy, tutte, craney and jones as back up..
I also agree that oli johnson would be a good signing a hill type broken toy..
Now with regards to ruben, im not to sure if he behaves and does not become a bad influence then by all leans take the gamble of 12months with a further 12month option if it suits both parties involved..

Graham Westley's got the right idea:

RELEASED PLAYERS (14)

Andreas Arestidou, Aaron Brown, Michael McLellan, Daniel Devine, Scott Leather, David Gray, Alex Billington, Iain Turner, Ian Ashbee, Jamie Douglas, Seanan Clucas, George Miller, Dominic Comrie and Nicky Hunt.

TRANSFER-LISTED PLAYERS (7)

Bailey Wright, Barry Nicholson, Brian McLean, Juvhel Tsoumou, Keammar Daley, Conor McLaughlin and Darel Russell.

RETURN TO PARENT CLUBS (3)

Rhys Murphy, Chuks Aneke and Max Ehmer.

EXPRESSED A DESIRE TO LEAVE (2)

Jamie Proctor and Danny Mayor

Iain Turner could be a good shout, hard to tell if he is a decent 'keeper or not as he hasnt had that much game time. Im sure we were once linked wtih Danny Mayor (winger) under the Hill-era as well.

At no time has Westley had the right idea.

He'll last til October at best if thy don't start very well. Once you lose the fans it's almost impossible to win them back.

Looking at the list so far, my targets would include:

Josh Lillis
Iain Turner
David Gray
Olly Lancashire
Ian Craney
Lionel Ainsworth
Adam Boyd

Some of them may even be out of our reach. Eastwood would more than likely be well out of our reach but he'd be a great signing I reckon. Danny Coid could be another option for full back but he's had injury problems at Accy but Coleman signed him and obviously rated him.
