Swansea City v Leeds United : Match day thread UPDATED on 22:20 - Nov 24 with 1507 views | STID2017 | Exactly. They had to work hard for it and even then only won because we "allowed" them to. They know they got away with one.

Swansea City v Leeds United : Match day thread UPDATED on 22:58 - Nov 24 with 1401 views | RichardO | Yes but this is what they are asked to do get up field, we know Key has pace to burn and as has been said Tymon is one of our best crosses of the ball on the left, why because he is left footed. So let's see what is suppose to happen when our full backs are press so high, surely the opposite fullback must drop in to cover the centrehalves as the push across to cover the fullback pushed forward otherwise the other centre half has to decide where does he cover Cabango was caught out of position he should have been in behind Darling as he is forced out to the winger defending that front post cross with Key also covering and the central defence midfielder should also be in position to cover.Cabango OG was because he was trying to right the mistake of the first goal. This is not having a go at Cabango, Darling, Key or Tymon this is about how they and the whole team are asked play throwing stupid goals away. We have seen it with Martin and now with William's once you are up in games you don't give away silly goals away by over committing players forward, we didn't need to, the gaps in the Leeds defence were there because of the high press leaving space in behind their full backs accurate balls over the top or down the channels were killing them, no need for the fullbacks to press on because their wingers weren't going to chase back with them, once lost in midfield gaps in our defences were evident. Swansea City v Leeds United : Match day thread UPDATED on 09:10 - Nov 25 with 1001 views | RichardO | Yes they can, just have to see if William's can work out what is going wrong, The balance between attack and defence has been a problem since relegation and obviously the cause of that relegation, we now seem to have some good quality in the team but we are getting caught out by teams often in the same ways.
Swansea City v Leeds United : Match day thread UPDATED on 09:11 - Nov 25 with 995 views | KeithHaynes | Yesterday’s example was losing possession in midfield, Grimes and Key both to blame. That led to goals. Lazy football. The players are switching off at very crucial times.

Swansea City v Leeds United : Match day thread UPDATED on 09:26 - Nov 25 with 969 views | RichardO | There was no reason to have them on the ball so much especially after scoring the press is bound to come, quick balls into space behind their defence would give us time to regroup as a defensive unit, how many time can you give the ball away in crucial areas of the park. Same mistakes have to be rectified as a press must be expected quick ball to players who can see what is in front of them.
Swansea City v Leeds United : Match day thread UPDATED on 09:55 - Nov 25 with 922 views | Legend83 | Yep, hate to say it but we should have just applied some good old "balls down the channels" and let Leeds come to us from deep. Not lose possession on the half-way line trying to play cute passes, while our defensive line was 25 yards to high! I think if Williams was brave (or just creative) he should have brought Naughton and Christie on, hooked Ronald and MPH and pushed Tymon and Key up - they were pretty much playing as wing-backs / additional midfielders already. Think we could have won it then.
Swansea City v Leeds United : Match day thread UPDATED on 09:56 - Nov 25 with 922 views | RichardO | It seems as if we are so close but so far from being one of the top teams in the division, very frustrating.
Swansea City v Leeds United : Match day thread UPDATED on 11:10 - Nov 25 with 863 views | Treforys_Jack | Play with that much high tempo and commitment against the other teams in the division and we'll win far more than we'll lose. A bit of managerial naivety cost us in the end. Feel LW is learning as he's goin along, hopefully he'll be poached in 18mths time which will mean he's done a good job.
Swansea City v Leeds United : Match day thread UPDATED on 11:12 - Nov 25 with 859 views | Treforys_Jack | Not sure its been mentioned and even though it went against us, what a fantastic job the lino did, he must have been under intense pressure from the East Stand and those calls were so tight. He got them all spot on, another day, at least 1 maybe 2 of the Leeds goals would have been disallowed.
Swansea City v Leeds United : Match day thread UPDATED on 11:18 - Nov 25 with 849 views | RichardO | Wish the same could be said of the Referee as some of his descions seemed somewhat one sided or am I being a bit bias. [Post edited 25 Nov 11:19]

Swansea City v Leeds United : Match day thread UPDATED on 11:24 - Nov 25 with 812 views | onehunglow | We are close to be very good. Being close isn’t enough though Yesterday ,could have been the catalyst for a real push on . Awful to end like that

Swansea City v Leeds United : Match day thread UPDATED on 11:36 - Nov 25 with 776 views | heatwave | Not sure about that. Trouble is after every loss when everyone else had their share of the blame we decide the ref was biased too. Don't get me wrong if Leeds had failed to win their forum would be exactly the same. Just my view of course but I didn't think the ref cost us the game. I'm disappointed too at the loss but not the overall performance.
Swansea City v Leeds United : Match day thread UPDATED on 12:01 - Nov 25 with 749 views | RichardO | A loss like a number of home games which game management has loss us points, I cited the Gillingham game in which we maybe have come unstuck, you cannot solely rely on attacking intend to win games, as said before a fine line trying to find the balance between attack and defence and knowing when to do either correctly. Swansea City v Leeds United : Match day thread UPDATED on 12:06 - Nov 25 with 734 views | onehunglow | Game management is part of performance We should not be afraid to comment thus We want the best possible We dug in well yesterday and went toe to toe with the big Leeds Utd outfit and screwed ourselves atvthe death We have to accept that ,deal with it and quit making excuses

Swansea City v Leeds United : Match day thread UPDATED on 12:22 - Nov 25 with 691 views | jack247 | No excuses. I thought not settling for a point given the way the game had gone, the way we conceded the other three goals and the quality Leeds were able to bring on compared to us was a mistake. Even from the point of view a last minute draw in a raucous atmosphere in the first game under new ownership would have given us a lot of impetus. Great to see we can give what isn’t far off a PL team a hell of a game though, even if they were the better side.
Swansea City v Leeds United : Match day thread UPDATED on 12:27 - Nov 25 with 677 views | onehunglow | I’ve always been a Leeds Utd “ hater” but have to say their fan base is impressive . They always say,one city, one club They are super loyal and passionate and it made ours get up for it. We are close but this league is very very level . Speaking to a dog Walker near us this morning who saw the game and he said it was a brilliant watch . There again,he was an Evertonian . Their Brentford game was dire

Swansea City v Leeds United : Match day thread UPDATED on 12:32 - Nov 25 with 677 views | swan65split | disappointed that for being as tight as weve been we conceded 4 Glad as poor scoring side we scored 3 mad we conceded the 4th, and did not go for the draw, but LBH who amongst us wast screaming for us to go for the winner once we had the 3rd? On the plus side, we are now a side that doesn't give up. deffo need a couple of decent/good wingers

Swansea City v Leeds United : Match day thread UPDATED on 18:17 - Nov 25 with 395 views | union_jack | I woukd have been less angry yesterday if we’d lost 3-2 instead of 4-3. To equalise on 90’ only to give it away minutes later was hard to swallow.

Swansea City v Leeds United : Match day thread UPDATED on 18:36 - Nov 25 with 375 views | EagleEye | You have to question the tactics of playing such a high line against a side who thrive on counterattacking & pace. Predictable outcome, suicidal defending. The lack of pace was evident last season & exploited by the top sides in the division as it was yesterday
Swansea City v Leeds United : Match day thread UPDATED on 18:48 - Nov 25 with 364 views | vetchonian | our managers can't win. Cooper was critiscised for "dull" football protecting one goal leads, off late Williams has come under fire for being safe and not attacking so when he does and despite us scoring more goals in one game than the last 4 put together he gets hammered for notnsettling for the point.
