US Election thread 10:22 - Nov 3 with 7347 views | Gwyn737 | Still so unpredictable. I reckon it’s a toss up between two outcomes. Either the polls are right and it’s Trump (just), or their madly off and it’s Harris by a big margin.

US Election thread on 06:09 - Nov 4 with 929 views | PawelAbbott | If Trump loses what does he do?? He faces a very real threat of spending the rest of his days behind bars. It went badly enough last time. This time he has nothing to lose and they've spent months paving the way to claim a rigged vote
US Election thread on 07:03 - Nov 4 with 913 views | Dr_Winston | It's more likely that Trump will spend the rest of his days first dodging jail time claiming to be suffering from dementia, then actually suffering from dementia. He's clearly not a well unit at present.

US Election thread on 15:36 - Nov 4 with 673 views | Kilkennyjack | This just got posted on X …. Trump is giving up on North Carolina. “I’ve driven on interstates across half the state in the past couple of weeks, and dead deer have outnumbered Trump billboards by roughly a 2-to-1 ratio. Simply put, the Trump campaign seems to barely exist here.”

We all know if Trump wins he'll claim it's a fair result but if he loses the fraud claims will come thick and fast...like they will on here from a few.

US Election thread on 08:50 - Nov 5 with 459 views | Dr_Winston | There are altogether far too many deeply stupid Americans out there to discount Trump completely. My sneaking suspicion is that he'll win. In that case, the fault will lie squarely at the feet of the Democratic Party. If they'd been honest about Biden's condition from the outset they could have run a proper primary campaign and avoided the need to field a hopeless candidate who was an almost total bust as VP and can barely manage without a teleprompter. Had they done that then there's no way on Earth that this election would be remotely close. [Post edited 5 Nov 8:51]

US Election thread on 09:01 - Nov 5 with 450 views | onehunglow | I think that too and it would shame America to see Trump rejected It’s almost beyond comprehension but anything is possible in America ,as has been said many times. I’m not sure the world be a more dangerous place though but America will face ridicule worldwide and rightly so. I was expecting Harris to have a really feisty campaign and to truly destroy Trump. Hell, she’s a former DA but she’s let him off,if you like. Trump will die in office

US Election thread on 09:27 - Nov 5 with 416 views | Joesus_Of_Narbereth | Harris is of the same ilk as Starmer. Lawyers are used to working in highly structured conditions with clear rules, they have weeks to prepare for a case and have meticulous files to read from, they ask the questions and more often than not will know the answer before asking them. Take them out of the courtroom and away from that structured environment and they are as good as useless. Both Harris and Starmer would be incredibly poor and weak candidates in any other era, there’s literally nothing in either of them.

US Election thread on 10:27 - Nov 5 with 363 views | Joesus_Of_Narbereth | Those cutting questions are often written weeks in advance before the trial even begins, in the courtroom they are almost like actors reading off a script. Now of course there are transferable skills when lawyers go into politics, you can stand at the podium, the microphone is yours, the teleprompter is giving you the script, you’re in control. It’s like a courtroom, very structured you can look good and speak well and everyone thinks you’re great. But there’s no substance there. Politicians might as well just be AI avatars at this point.
