Gob Brummin is a comin - a QPR match thread 14:20 - Mar 27 with 45328 views | Monkey_Roots | There is a phenomena of criminals returning to the crime scene to observe how their handiwork is dealt with. In some cases the perpetrators are thought to experience a kind of perverse thrill, reliving the crime and experience over again in their mind. And so, Laird and Roberts - the Brum Bandits – the arsonists who burnt season 22/23 to the ground, return to the scene of their horrific crimes to sift through the ashes to see if there is any trace evidence left behind of their time at Loftus Road. Maybe they will revel in the looks of horror on the faces of the gathering masses, or the shaking of the heads from hardened veterans who thought they had seen everything, but were shocked at what they saw inside? The looks of horror though are to be found on their own faces as they cross the line and lay eyes upon a very different scene... this is definitely not what they were expecting. There are no chalk outlines in the shape of Gareth Ainsworth or Neil Critchley, no sobbing loved ones desperately clutching at a soiled Tyler Roberts shirt, or a dumbstruck forensic accountant trying to justify how they were duped into spending money on absolute toss... No, The scene is, well, lovely and green... the faces are a mixture of hope and happiness... the site isn't a vacuous, charred mess... the manager is commanding, strong and looks like he knows exactly what he's doing. Panic sets in, it wasn't supposed to be this way! In unison, already fresh out of ideas of what to do next, like muscle memory, what happens to Laird and Roberts when faced with uncertainty or difficulty, happens again - they both sit down and shake their heads... 'It's the calf again guv' is barely audible above the din from the masses who aren't even booing, they're laughing... and Laird and Roberts, as they trudge off the pitch give a faint clap as some kind of acknowledgment. This is rejected though, the people vs Laird and Roberts is over, the judgement was passed down - they were found guilty, although they felt none, and sentenced to a career of nothingness. 3 to the R's - 1 to the Arsonists.

Gob Brummin is a comin - a QPR match thread on 23:56 - Mar 29 with 1797 views | LazyFan | Sanderson was drek for both of our goals. Glad we never signed him. Charity Park Rangers was in effect for their goal, assisted by Laird, of course. Laird was really bad; I was shocked at how poor he was. We were also lucky they played Roberts instead of Hogan otherwise, we would have lost that game. Roberts missed three great changes; Hogan would have buried those. Rowatt exposed our middle, whereby Bacuna found lots of space when he came inside and between our defence and the midfield. Hopefully, Marti and the team will learn from that and close that up for the next game. Brum could be going down; Stansfield is not really a forward. He's a winger which they play as a striker as they are desperate. Bacuna is a very good player, and Ruddy, as we know, is good. If they go down, we should get these players as replacements for Chair, Willock and Asmir.

Gob Brummin is a comin - a QPR match thread on 02:55 - Mar 30 with 1596 views | karlski | There’s a great view of the goal from the school end where you can se Clarke Salter and Cook as the goal go in. Both, almost in unison, put their hands right on the their heads in sheer disbelief like chair. Priceless. My hands are still on my head now. I will never forget seeing the arc of that one dip over Ruddy from the SA Rd stand. My goodness. And so wonderfully deserved for Dunne. Not the greatest game but we created plenty of decent chances and on that basis deserved to win. Would like to just see a bit more moving forward / running to space once a player plays a pass. Our midfield seem to find that really challenging and it means to move Up the pitch we always have to go back and over to the other side. Which, to be fair, we do reasonably well, but it’s not dynamic. but who cares. What a 3 points.

Gob Brummin is a comin - a QPR match thread on 11:09 - Mar 30 with 1101 views | mart_Goblin | Not read all of this but I don’t think I need too. Still buzzing and what a goal . Although from JU the optical illusion was that Ruddy had tipped it over . Then everybody went chicken oriental. As someone else mentioned, that’s what Clive was talking about when he mentioned ‘big moments’. And what a moment. I said to my son that that is why we sit through weeks and months of chod….just for those one off roof lifting moments . Being a Rangers fan though my big fear is Monday. For the last couple of years we have followed great highs with big lows. Can they get it together at Swansea as yesterday become a little irrelevant if they don’t . They certainly have the fight , if not the final ball at the moment .
