According to a story by Dave Mac.

Not really a surprise but gutting nevertheless

Not uninformed. We read it all on here and form our own opinions.

In fact , those that have been critical of TF haven't been wrong yet.

Not having Hoos walk. He's done great. imo. Obviously has his hands tied with the owners though.

Not a surprise of any kind. What a ridiculous country it is. I definitely won't be reading eight pages of people insulting each other over it.

Those fans who cant't stop love-bombing Hoos irrespective of his performance really boil my piss! What have the last 8 years been about then, when he's been constantly telling us all the ways it's happening and issuing statements to that effect? It's a joke!

With the club's management team, it's a case now, for me, of feeling like going into hibernation and waking up when someone tells the truth/makes sense.

We all deserve so much better than this!

Not impressed with this news or the owners tenure in general but we are in a far better position than a lot of other clubs. Bury, Blackpool, Charlton, MK Dons (as in, moved the entire football club!) off the top of my head.

Is being "not the worst" ok? No far from it. But it's not just us. Unfortunately over the last ten years or so football has attracted a huge amounts of asshles as owners.

Hoos hasn't been here for 8 years. His tenure has seen a huge improvement, still not great but he's been fighting with both hands tied behind his back. I don't like the owners but I do appreciate the good work he has done

Poll: Why are you a QPR supporter?

Well the financial position of the club with the effects of the pandemic may well be playing into this decision. Will be interesting to see if a new training ground is purchased as the statement implies or if this is a holding statement. At the end of all this I Just’s hope QPR survives as a club.

Environmental Impact Assessment is the responsibility of the Council. It's not QPR's job to remind the planners what they need to do. If it was missed by the Council, the ire should be directed at them, not the club. Should the club try and recover legal costs against the Council for not doing their job? They could but that wouldn't be great for our reputation or 'optics'.

The context has changed since the WF development was announced. Environmental factors are much higher up the agenda and economic arguments over Council funding are not seen as essential. The Council should have done better and we've pulled the plug now, rather than engage with protesters even more. Imagine the news reports of people laying in front of bulldozers.

It seems as if an alternative is being sourced and we don't know when this was started. If it was several months ago, then the club's planning and foresight should be applauded.

It's always noisiest at the shallow end

Hoos is such an asset for us. Looking at his career, he doesn’t normally stop too long but I hope that changes and he is with us for a bit longer yet. Unfortunately my hunch is that his goal, alongside steadying the finances, would be to land the training ground and/or stadium, then move on.

Who takes credit for bringing him in?

Lots of IFs in your last paragraph mate. And this is the problem for me.(not your paragraph). The owners track record for this sort of thing isn't great.
The pandemic has changed things though.

The alternative site was mooted a few months ago. Despite the legal challenges being defeated there may have been further delay possible through the courts down another route plus to be fair, the tenacity and resilience of the SWF campaign just wasn’t diminishing.

Even if the club got the green light yesterday, it was a a huge project to get Warren Farm upto scratch plus how to fund it. Bonds through fans? Tricky.

Could you guys do this by private message? What have your personal battles got to the do with the topic?

To be really honest, it reads like ‘I know you are but what am I?’

What experience should tell us about this club and it’s infrastructure, don’t believe a word of anything they say. Just assume it won’t happen until it actually does.

I’m beginning to tire of the Hoos PR, wouldn’t be surprised if he is too. How do you keep talking up a club that spends 3 years in PL and doesn’t manage a single improvement in ground facilities. They can’t keep falling back on ‘wanting to move‘, it never happens.

Multi millionaire owners who fall back on the house that Jim built, 35 years ago. What a shambles.

Plus, and a big plus, is that if the site is the one heavily rumoured, then it is already up and running and ready to go.

But , but , but stevec it’s not the boards fault , it’s all the fault of a few Brentford bird watchers
That’s why we couldn’t get a spade in the ground

Yes alarm bells rang when there was literally no communication or action from the club on Warren Farm for over a year from November 2018 and just vague sound bites from Lee Hoos when asked about it earlier this year. Very disappointing.

Genuine question for anyone to answer, as I don't know myself - but did the Council actually ever get to the stage of signing off on the lease or did the legal and environmental challenges prevent them from doing so?

If the Council didn't transfer the lease then the Club couldn't have started construction at any stage, bar maybe the pre-construction environmental studies that were carried out.

So to sum up, the crux of your damning exposé is a tenuous speculative assumption that the long gap in between two points on a glossary you've skimmed proves the site has been left untouched for over a year. And therefore supports accusation of incompetence, malpractice, dissimulation, conspiracy and deceit.

What it doesn't tell you - but which nevertheless is still information freely available to the public that you just didn't bother to research - is that work was due to begin May 2019, which point the first in a series of delaying ecological objections began (nesting skylarks iirc). The site wasn't just ignored for a year and a half, nor did it didn't suddenly become "a nature reserve" during those standard few months after getting the green light, but in the preceding four years spent having to secure that go ahead after submitting the revised application with environmental assessments in 2015. (See also wrt waffling made up nonsense accusation above of "not ticking the boxes you’d tick on these sort of developments on this sort of land").

That's just for starters.

These bungleposters have got nothing.

On the club owners
100% they have fecked up time and time again
What was it TF use to say, we have learned from our mistakes

WF
It was a good idea to start with, I don't suppose they (Club-Council) ever thought they would have to fight over such a shitehole that's WF but it's been pretty clear that the lack development since 2018 with some pretty weak excuses was just stalling to get out of it and have done without facing any problems of breaking contracts, just walked away.

I don't think you can put it all down as a failer by the Club, things have clearly changed in the last 8 years.

Hoo's
I would say he has to deliver this new facility or he is done. his fault or not.

When willl this CV nightmare end

If that's how it's shaken down then heads would need to roll.

I think people are somewhat blinded by the success of Eze and Bright when it comes to critiquing Hoos. That's all Ramsey's work

If we did get a fan on the board, it would have to be some idiot who filled the post.

Who else would want to do it knowing the abuse he/she would get and not even getting paid for it?
