I suspect they'll montior how it goes and maybe be back earlier but we'll see.

How will this European Super League work with Travel down the pan for????

Though I see the Germans have already mentioned holidays in Majorca this summer..... so all wait and see.

"How will this European Super League work with Travel down the pan for????"

I guess the clubs will just charter flights. Or do you mean the fans? if so, they're not worried about fans, just tv and the dosh that goes with it, so travel down the pan isn't a problem

Just read that Fiorentina have just resumed training and already 6 players and staff have tested positive for Covid, starting football so soon is irresponsible and an Affront to everyone that has obeyed the lockdown and social distancing.

It's what slm said on the post following your one.

Agree that very few make money from the club being in the Prem, but I suspect all the stuff around being in the Prem is what feeds the egos of these people.

Can we go out yet?

Time limit is based on the idea that they are jamming more fixtures into less time and that would allow the clubs to have their best players available at their peak for more of those games. Or more accurately would allow sky to push more games featuring star players

Looks like the restart to the Bundesliga May have been scuppered as one of the squads has had to go into isolation due to team members testing positive. No way should they even contemplate starting the PL or the EFL yet.

Been saying this for weeks. Do not understand how you can try and get that number of ppl through that number of physical contact games without loads of them getting it.

No player will be allowed within two metres of any other player on the pitch I guess.

and what about heading the ball?

Surely sweat transference is possible, so no headed goals, goal line saves etc?

Mind you Karen 'porn queen' Brady seems to think you can disinfect the grass, so thats all right then.

I meant both really, when people cant really be a part of something in any way - other than via TV they evetually switch off and lose intrest.

Now we can argue the toss about ticket, prices and availability but whilst it's possible...

I cant see in years to come people salivating over the prospect of Man United v Barcelona in an empty white elephant that all these grounds would become when they can maybe go out and do something else.

Likewise all the sponsorship and advertisements etc will see a huge dip.

TV is only interested while we're interested (here and abroad) and people will, I believe if nothing else "lose touch"

no one is saying they should start it at the moment they are just trying to put a plan together that could work, it may well not happen. I think those desperate to see this season called off including some clubs need to prepare themselves that once this season goes, the next one does as well.

Isn't it funny that it is a Brighton player or players. After all Brighton did not want a restart of the season did they 🙄

The Brighton players getting this should change nothing, if they get it when back to training or playing thats a big issue that can and probably will put an end to football for a while but getting it whilst in isolation shouldn't have much of an impact

Health and Safety, that should stop it on its own.

Not essential workers
Lots of other things

Plus can you order someone to go into a close contact environment, possibly putting your health/life at risk?

How would the players and other staff insurance companies view this?

It's just a none starter for me ATM

But surely you make it realise how impossible it is. When one player, or coach, or manager gets it when the season starts, which one 100% will, both that team, and all the teams they have played in the past two days, will have to isolate for two weeks. Meaning nearly have the games once again get postponed as they will be playing so many in a short period of time. Then it starts again, one player gets it, and repeat. How on earth do they expect to play 100 games + in a month with no complications. Its just unrealistic, so why even bother trying and risking it all
