Board Shake Up Needed on 12:34 - Nov 12 with 930 views | Saintsforeverj | Which PL clubs have worse owners? Back up your statements with evidence Nick to give your opinion merit.
| |
Board Shake Up Needed on 12:44 - Nov 12 with 908 views | Kennington | No board can operate in this sustainable revenue model that Gao has imposed. The club needs a massive injection of cash. Gao is simply the worst owner in the league as instead of coming in and making sweeping reforms has rather sat back and watched our demise. The guy has no interest in Saints and should be driven out.
| |
Board Shake Up Needed on 13:16 - Nov 12 with 859 views | MytchettSaint | I could be wrong as the memory is a little hazy but didn’t Kat say when she sold up to Chairman Gao that the reason was so the club could move forward to the next level?
| |
Board Shake Up Needed on 13:28 - Nov 12 with 835 views | Saintsforeverj | One other question - how has Gao taking the club forward as promised? Nick doesn't answer. Therefore his opinions don't have any evidence or logic. Gao is better than some PL owners - based on what logic or evidence? The article is therefore sweeping opinions without any evidence and is therefore total nonsense

Board Shake Up Needed on 13:51 - Nov 12 with 804 views | this_charming_man | That’s exactly what she said. I see this is another defence of Goa but the reality is the buck stops somewhere, as it stands we don’t have a director of football, a head of recruitment, no assistant manager or first team coaches just a load of assistant coaches with no experience, a board of directors who don’t know how to run a football club, If I recall correctly our current chairman might be a nice bloke but I think his last job was running a marketing agency. We were told when reed left that he’d be replaced by a few people. Well he left a year ago and still not been replaced. So defend Goa all you like but the lack of leadership from the top down is pretty evident and there really isn’t anyone else to blame as there is no one else left

Board Shake Up Needed on 13:52 - Nov 12 with 801 views | this_charming_man | We keep being told he’s done nothing wrong, I started a thread the other day to list all the things he’s done that are right. This is it, he’s done nothing in over two years
| |
Board Shake Up Needed on 14:00 - Nov 12 with 794 views | Saintsforeverj | Leadership comes from the very top. Leadership inspires people. Leadership gets people onside. Gao is doing nothing to show those leadership qualities = poor leader. And the ultimate proof is the terrible team we are watching and record defeats.
| |
Board Shake Up Needed on 14:04 - Nov 12 with 788 views | SonicBoom | Nick says he's not the worst owner and that the blame lies with those he's employed. then goes on to list their chronic lack of qualifications. Point being, he's employed them. He's also dithered about doing nothing since we lost Kruger, Reed and now Wilson.
Board Shake Up Needed on 14:14 - Nov 12 with 771 views | DorsetIan | In the spring of this year Gao sold a controlling interest in his main Chinese company, Lander Sports, to the Chinese state. Now he told the EPL that this didn't change the ownership of Saints because he owned Saints through a different HK company (with 'Lander' in its name). But the Club has since sold its sponsorship rights to another company (LDSports) with a name very similar to Lander Sports. Maybe we're all being very naive to think that Gao has any real control over what's going on.

Board Shake Up Needed on 14:25 - Nov 12 with 754 views | this_charming_man | I do agree with one thing though and that is he isn’t going anywhere unless he sells up. Although the line “he could decide not to have an active role and that would lead to chaos” is hilarious One the one had the defence is he’s not been active and let others run the club, that’s why it’s not his fault. So is he active or not? The other thing is if record defeats, record bad starts the season, no management, no leadership, crap players, crap u23s, crap u18s and crap coaches aren’t chaos I don’t know what is.

Board Shake Up Needed on 15:14 - Nov 12 with 715 views | 1885_SFC | Our failure to get things right at boardroom level will surely lead to relegation. No one seems to know what the f@ck they're doing - not even Ralph at times! SFC reminds me of the Chuckle Brothers ; 'To me to you - To me to you'. We are a club of ditherers... and it's embarrassing.

Board Shake Up Needed on 15:34 - Nov 12 with 693 views | TripleNiemi | She did but sadly us mere mortals assumed it might be in an 'upward' trajectory.
| |
Board Shake Up Needed on 16:46 - Nov 12 with 637 views | Kennington | The one time we had a decisive chairman in Cortese, he was ridiculed as a money waster and being responsible for destroying our lil ol’ community club and turning it into a relatively successful one. Now it’s back to the dithering and panic of years gone by.

Board Shake Up Needed on 17:02 - Nov 12 with 621 views | MattFinish | Jesus, Kat Leibherr's let herself go !!!
Board Shake Up Needed on 18:27 - Nov 12 with 565 views | TripleNiemi | I wonder if Fenway Sports might be interested in purchaing Saints? Would save a lot of bloody hassle in future (mind you nothing much rolling off the conveyor belt these days).

Board Shake Up Needed on 18:59 - Nov 12 with 533 views | grumpy | 'We as fans have to stop thinking the grass is greener on the other side' Strewth! We've just been beaten 9-0 at home, and how many games at home have we suffered and lost? I think we fans have been more than patient.
Board Shake Up Needed on 19:20 - Nov 12 with 515 views | TripleNiemi | Tend to agree. Christ, can you remember the day(s) of the Secure Retirements / Southampton FC takeover when the likes of Souness, Lowe, Askham (and Lawrie Mac?) did alright out of the share issue? Seem to recall people being up in arms back then and even think SISA was slightly peeved. Cue the Goa takeover and not a bloody word. C'est la vie, Gao has bought a lemon if we dont stay up. Board Shake Up Needed on 22:38 - Nov 12 with 386 views | kingslandstand1 | Don't worry, I've heard there is now a facebook page (whatever that is) to get a "Gao out" campaign going with banners etc at SMS
Board Shake Up Needed on 05:33 - Nov 13 with 334 views | Butty101 | Iif it’s not Click bate, then Nick is on the SFC pay roll. His stance of blaming the fans rather than criticism of the club has been bizarre, to say the least. Could you imagine the articles he would be writing if Cortese was over seeing this shambles. Board Shake Up Needed on 06:26 - Nov 13 with 314 views | TygerUppercut | Is nick going senile? Serious question Or has he just painted himself into such a corner all he has left is to write these deluded superiority articles trying to deflect blame onto the fans wherever he can. He posts them up then seems to disapear and avoid debating the comments You reap what you sow nick
