It is definitely a risk, same as whoever we appointed. He may get overwhelmed and struggle with the amount of games and dealing with older players.
Then again if he does have what it takes, it will soon show. good points are he is young, will want to prove himself at this level, and will no doubt give it his all to show what he is about.
It would be interesting to know if Birch, Britton and Cutis targeted him, or did Cooper put his name forward, Anyway after all of the interviews, he has made the best impression and they have decided he looks like our best option.
We need to trust is Britton Curt and Birch, that their opinion and first hand knowledge gained from interviewing him is sound. We give him a chance and hopefully be surprised how well he does for us, then start to worry about bigger clubs trying to poach him off us.
I was wondering how many backroom staff from this youtube vid will he be bringing, they look good.
Reality of it is none of us know. He’s got obvious pros and cons, as anyone realistic would have.
I’m quite happy with the appointment. I don’t see us going up or down, so playing style is a big factor for me. I hope he has the balls to stick to it if and when we have a couple of poor results.

The "we" appointing this guy are Birch, Leon and Curts. All three are vastly experienced in dealing with managers over the years, both generally and in a Swansea context...I have a feeling they know what they are looking for...and will make a better decision than many a keyboard warrior on here
You'd have to be a particular type of grumpy sod to not want someone you hadn't heard of a couple of weeks ago before even giving him the chance to prove himself.
I'm placing the views of those three above my ignorance, no question.

Still not sure about Steve Cooper becoming @SwansOfficial new manager... he has the potential and certainly knows how to get the best out of young players but no experience at all... is he a good appointment? #Swansea#Championship
We all want and hope he does well. There are going to be concerns, raise them or stick your head in the sand BUT as stated......we all want him to succeed.
The more I think about it the more I agree, this strategy is just too risky, if he facks up we've really had it, and with us selling all our best players it just gets worse.
I suppose all they are saying is we are not thinking about promotion, just trying to regain some stability as quickly as possible!

Big gamble this. More so than previous appointments.
Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Bearing in mind his connection to those up the road, plus the fact we are now all pssed off at being mugged off....if he makes a bad start, it'll turn ugly pretty quick.
