I'm puzzled. During his interview David said that the idea of giving the Sandy to Sunderland was a non starter because of the proximity of the Sandy and the Main Stand turnstiles.

There are lots of mountains being made from molehills at present.
The club doesn't have much choice if, as stated, maximising revenue is the stated aim.
As David Bottomley stated in the Freeview video this game will generate a six figure sum and 15% of the gate receipts for this season where there hasn't been a cup run.
If it's the "how" it has been announced then you can't do much more than set out why it's been done and announcing that in good time once the safety and police confirmations have been received.
I can't remember the last time the club put out so many Freeview interviews - a positive step. | |

So IF the Sandy and the the Willbuts Lane stand had been given to Sunderland the turnstiles need not have been anywhere near the Home turnstiles and both stands could have exited onto Willbuts Lane.
Home turnstiles could have been at the Family Stand end of the Main Stand and at either end of the Family Stand . If deemed necessary home exits could both have been in the corner where the sand mountains were.

Quite simply. They pay a year in advance for something that they hope still exists in a year's time. What else would you spunk cash on 1 year hence ? Without the cash injection in May/June this club would be fooked for cash to pay players and staff over the summer. | |
