Sunderland fans to be in the home stands. on 21:02 - Mar 15 with 2858 views | TrueDaleBlue | That’s not the way it was told at the fans forum, and I can only take what was said at face value. Obviously you know more with being on the trust board, so can only take what you said at face value also.
Sunderland fans to be in the home stands. on 21:02 - Mar 15 with 2858 views | judd | To be fair let's start a list of all the successful initiatives: There you go.

| When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf? |

Sunderland fans to be in the home stands. on 21:07 - Mar 15 with 2839 views | onedalefan | I have a seat on row P in the affected area which I selected as gives a decent view and far enough back not to be affected by the weather if it rains. What's the betting I get offered one on row A so a poor view and it throws it down all through the match. Not happy.
Sunderland fans to be in the home stands. on 21:19 - Mar 15 with 2803 views | Molly | I'm puzzled. During his interview David said that the idea of giving the Sandy to Sunderland was a non starter because of the proximity of the Sandy and the Main Stand turnstiles. Is there not a set of turnstiles (which we never seem to use) at the Family Stand end of the Main Stand?
Sunderland fans to be in the home stands. on 21:49 - Mar 15 with 2720 views | KenBoon | Yes because a Barnet fan was locked up in them a few years ago. It’s good to know it’s more difficult to arrange queues than it is to segregate a stand that’s not designed for segregation, ensure the fans can get to their coaches from the segregated stand and all the other nonsense. Logistical nightmare.
Sunderland fans to be in the home stands. on 21:53 - Mar 15 with 2696 views | RAFCBLUE | There are lots of mountains being made from molehills at present. The club doesn't have much choice if, as stated, maximising revenue is the stated aim. As David Bottomley stated in the Freeview video this game will generate a six figure sum and 15% of the gate receipts for this season where there hasn't been a cup run. If it's the "how" it has been announced then you can't do much more than set out why it's been done and announcing that in good time once the safety and police confirmations have been received. I can't remember the last time the club put out so many Freeview interviews - a positive step.

Sunderland fans to be in the home stands. on 21:56 - Mar 15 with 2691 views | kiwidale | The continued snipping at David Bottomley is out of order bordering on spiteful. I support all members of the new board of directors we are lucky to have them especially those with local links which I believe all have.
| This is not the time for bickering.

Sunderland fans to be in the home stands. on 22:04 - Mar 15 with 2666 views | Molly | So IF the Sandy and the the Willbuts Lane stand had been given to Sunderland the turnstiles need not have been anywhere near the Home turnstiles and both stands could have exited onto Willbuts Lane. Home turnstiles could have been at the Family Stand end of the Main Stand and at either end of the Family Stand . If deemed necessary home exits could both have been in the corner where the sand mountains were. To me it doesn't seem rocket science or am I missing something.
Sunderland fans to be in the home stands. on 22:24 - Mar 15 with 2608 views | nordenblue | Ah quite brilliant, some choose to question things that aren't quite right, whilst others will sit back lap it all up,then wonder where it all went wrong. "We are lucky to have them" like it's a personal sacrifice they're somehow performing for us all,how magical.
Sunderland fans to be in the home stands. on 22:35 - Mar 15 with 2563 views | Toffeemanc | Why do you think we are lucky to have them exactly?

Sunderland fans to be in the home stands. on 22:39 - Mar 15 with 2545 views | rochdale_ranger | I’m not in the know and I don’t know whether or not the new board and CEO will be a positive or a negative but the level of criticism on here over the last few weeks has been over the top and petty.
Sunderland fans to be in the home stands. on 22:50 - Mar 15 with 2507 views | sykeboy | Good for you ,I can tell you my comment is not out of spite but real disappointment how I’ve been treated with no real thought given to the inconvenience caused to exiles
Sunderland fans to be in the home stands. on 23:02 - Mar 15 with 2477 views | rochdale_ranger | Is a shit idea having five hundred or so mackems in the WMG though. What’s going to happen when they all want to go in stuffs at half time. What’s going to happen when both sets of supporters need to go for a piss or a shit.
Sunderland fans to be in the home stands. on 23:07 - Mar 15 with 2463 views | 100notout | We have a home game on 23rd March - why can't you sort it out then?

Sunderland fans to be in the home stands. on 23:15 - Mar 15 with 2441 views | Molly | If you had followed this thread and listened to the interview you would find the answer to the questions you have so eloquently posed. What a pity more people don't have the the breadth of language skills you so skillfully display. [Post edited 15 Mar 2019 23:17]

Sunderland fans to be in the home stands. on 23:16 - Mar 15 with 2435 views | judd | Because it will be chaotic. It's a fookin farce. Season ticket holders are virtually shareholders yet this batch are being treated like crap by a smug looking tit who may nett us a few quid. Just a few when virtually 6 figures are going to happen any way. Short sighted, ill thought out and badly explained . Par for the course with this prick at the helm. And that is not sniping.

Sunderland fans to be in the home stands. on 23:18 - Mar 15 with 2420 views | 100notout | Season ticket holders are virtually shareholders???? How do you work that out then?
| |
Sunderland fans to be in the home stands. on 23:24 - Mar 15 with 2411 views | judd | Quite simply. They pay a year in advance for something that they hope still exists in a year's time. What else would you spunk cash on 1 year hence ? Without the cash injection in May/June this club would be fooked for cash to pay players and staff over the summer.

Sunderland fans to be in the home stands. on 23:26 - Mar 15 with 2398 views | rochdale_ranger | Sorry sir. You can take the boy out of Rochdale and all that.
Sunderland fans to be in the home stands. on 23:27 - Mar 15 with 2399 views | 100notout | I bought a ticket to a Rolling stones gig a year in advance (at not much less cost than a season ticket). Shareholders own the club, season ticket holders pay to "enjoy" being "entertained"
