Sunderland fans to be in the home stands. on 19:19 - Mar 18 with 3277 views | sweetcorn | The maths alone dictates that it can’t be 25,000. 28 x 500 is 14,000 (plus some of the 500 could be childs price) and thats without even considering the extra cost facilitating it will be.

Sunderland fans to be in the home stands. on 20:09 - Mar 18 with 3173 views | kiwidale | fair enough sweetcorn my figures are miles off even with extra thousand away fans its nowhere near $25k mind the mark up on catering is massive maybe the cut of that will add sever or tens of thousand to total any idea what the catering profit is on match days. maybe the trust can ask what the expected extra income will be I am just guessing wildly and it seems

Sunderland fans to be in the home stands. on 20:23 - Mar 18 with 3146 views | judd | I'm talking about the extra 500 as a separate income stream entity. The complete sell out of dedicated away facilities will already prove lucrative.

Sunderland fans to be in the home stands. on 20:25 - Mar 18 with 3143 views | judd | Is the catering not franchised? Col has already stated that pounds, shillings and pence were not discussed with him in his role as Trust Chairman.

Sunderland fans to be in the home stands. on 21:21 - Mar 18 with 3042 views | kcb1998 | Sunderland fan in peace. Several clubs have done it for us this season and it’s worked out fine and there won’t be any trouble from us it’s just not on our radar. We aren’t the same breed as that lot up the road from us who cant be spoken of. For our home games, as an away fan you can walk into to any of the local pubs and be welcomed( unless it’s the Skunks but that’s more for hygiene). You will always get the school kids acting the big one but the bravado soon disappears when an adult speaks...... I have to say that I can’t believe the negativity on here when it’s a chance to get extra revenue. We are being told it’s almost 1000 extra tickets and in the end It will make it an even better atmosphere so hopefully everyone will calm down and just go and enjoy the match. New ground for me too so really looking forward to it
Sunderland fans to be in the home stands. on 21:26 - Mar 18 with 3030 views | rochdale_ranger | HI mate it’s not so much a sign of disrespect to the Sunderland fans as it is annoyance at how our club have organised things.
Sunderland fans to be in the home stands. on 21:27 - Mar 18 with 3026 views | judd | It's 532 extra tickets in the home end that will nett us not a great deal. We have an idiotic hooligan element that loves a big away following. We have a history of dreadful stewarding. It may very well all be peaceful but the risk of it not being so we can trouser a few more quid is what many are flagging up.

Sunderland fans to be in the home stands. on 23:18 - Mar 18 with 2915 views | judd | Our owner seems more interested in bigging you lot up than looking out for those of us that turn up week in, week out to sit on pigeon shit and put up with tepid performances. Good luck

Sunderland fans to be in the home stands. on 23:19 - Mar 18 with 2915 views | rochdale_ranger | It’s the fact that they are putting you in a stand that isn’t meant for two sets of supporters there would have been less fuss if they would of given you the terrace behind the net (which houses more supporters then a measley five hundred)
Sunderland fans to be in the home stands. on 23:21 - Mar 18 with 2912 views | judd | ...and the 9 months we've had to consult with fans about maximising revenue SAFELY.

Sunderland fans to be in the home stands. on 01:32 - Mar 19 with 2846 views | Shun | A plethora of very positive comments about our club and fans on the SAFC message board, nice to see. Can the club please just do one thing before they arrive? Clean any bird crap off the fvcking seats. It’s so embarrassing seeing those Twitter photos after every big following.
Sunderland fans to be in the home stands. on 08:30 - Mar 19 with 2731 views | aleanddale | The club have made a huge error of judgement IMHO. the away end seats 3400 and it should have stopped there. £5k additional revenue max and oh boy have they created a cesspool of potential badwill. I have supported dale for a dogs age... season ticket holder in the Pearl St and yesterday went to buy 2 adult tickets for friends who are occasional 6-8 games a year types. Because I am not one who is being moved I cannot but 2 x adult tickets until they go on general sale on Monday!! I said surely I can buy one? and the answer was a resounding NO. Now I am working away from home Sunday through Weds next week so will have to wait until Thursday to go and get tickets. what a pile of crap this has become and this is 2 weeks before kick off.... I can see a real problem on the day talk about shooting ourselves in the foot. I have no problem with Sunderland fans they were great when we went to the SOL BUT we have a Schooligan element and not all Sunderland fans are holier than though. The stewards better have this spot on when both sets of fans arrive and be courteous beyond what they normally are able to deliver. If this goes without any issue it will be credit to both sets of supporters not the board who have clearly not thought this through properly.
Sunderland fans to be in the home stands. on 08:43 - Mar 19 with 2710 views | DaleiLama | I do know one fan who has very long legs (and also possibly a medical condition) and struggles to sit, so prefers the Sandy (can't remember his user name but remember him/her posting). I'm sure there would be quite a few more who would prefer to be in the Sandy too. All things being equal though, if SAFC were given the Wilbutts and Sandy, there would be 100% segregation, more revenue, SAFC fans in two stands and Dale fans in two stands which would concentrate noise and support and should have led to a better atmosphere with zero safety concerns (except for chucking stuff, but until we have zero tolerance stewarding and banning orders, there'll always be bell-ends in the ground). What will no doubt end up being a double-figure page thread should never even have been an OP. There's the right way and there's the Dale way.

Sunderland fans to be in the home stands. on 10:09 - Mar 19 with 2622 views | sweetcorn | I’d guess again that it’s nowhere near your estimate. I’d be stunned if the whole ground made 5,000, never mind an extra 500.

Sunderland fans to be in the home stands. on 11:37 - Mar 19 with 2539 views | Shun | I understand the annoyance of fans being moved from their seats, I do. But there’s a lot of talk about how dangerous it is putting home and away fans in a stand that isn’t designed to be segregated. Yet plenty of other clubs manage this regularly with no issues - Oxford, Lincoln, Bradford and Carlisle just off the top of my head.
Sunderland fans to be in the home stands. on 11:38 - Mar 19 with 2539 views | Daley_Lama | Recommendation for affected TDS ST holders. If you A) If you want to move from U,V,W to X,W and Z in groups bigger than 1 single seat then i suggest you go to the club sooner rather than later. B) if you want to avoid sitting at the front of the stand i suggest that you go to the club sooner rather thsn later C) if you do go to swap seats and feel aggrieved or let down, be nice to the ladies who work there as they are nice people.
