A rumour... 12:48 - Aug 10 with 7944 views | ingeminate | Disclaimer - This has "Goldfish's previous owner great uncle told me" wrItten all over it - Talking to a mate's mate on Sunday who said he lives near a sports editor of a well known broadsheet. They were talking recently and he was told that there were serious whispers that a recent premiership winning team had key players on performance enhancing drugs, combo of injury recovery and better stamina. He told me the team name, but not sure re libel etc if I can put them up? Northern might know? The editor gave the impression it was being looked at by a number of newspapers and rumours were swirling but nobody ready to publish yet. My instinct was sounded unlikely, but curious if anyone heard the same thing?

A rumour... on 20:21 - Aug 11 with 1779 views | davman | If we tried anything like this, we'd end up with the downers as opposed to the uppers. Instead of a bunch of athletes, we'd end up with all of them falling asleep on the pitch!

A rumour... on 07:56 - Aug 12 with 1613 views | Phildo | The new documentary Icarus on Netflix is well worth checking out. Given the money in football you would be surprised if they weren't doing it. There was a European nation that got very good at football about 15 years ago and saw some big improvements in other sports like tennis as well after decades of underperformance. There is a 35 year old athlete who can sprint away from 24 year olds who could hardly win a race for the first half of his career There was a cyclist called Lance who passed 600 drug tests and only got caught as he was so obnoxious his mates ratted him out. There is a bloke in a South African prison who shot his bird in a fit of rage (roid rage?) Sport is full of it.
