A rumour... 12:48 - Aug 10 with 7945 views | ingeminate | Disclaimer - This has "Goldfish's previous owner great uncle told me" wrItten all over it - Talking to a mate's mate on Sunday who said he lives near a sports editor of a well known broadsheet. They were talking recently and he was told that there were serious whispers that a recent premiership winning team had key players on performance enhancing drugs, combo of injury recovery and better stamina. He told me the team name, but not sure re libel etc if I can put them up? Northern might know? The editor gave the impression it was being looked at by a number of newspapers and rumours were swirling but nobody ready to publish yet. My instinct was sounded unlikely, but curious if anyone heard the same thing?

A rumour... on 14:00 - Aug 10 with 5489 views | Northernr | Yeh probably can't say much more than what you have there legally. Rudimentary research on the Google will present you with a striking drop off in previously miraculous form once WADA moved into the training ground to study their methods though.
A rumour... on 15:11 - Aug 10 with 5280 views | DWQPR | At least you could never accuse our lot of using performance enhancing drugs!

A rumour... on 15:35 - Aug 10 with 5197 views | kensalriser | Doping is endemic in so many sports it would be more of a surprise if football is totally clean.

A rumour... on 15:44 - Aug 10 with 5158 views | daveB | would be really sad if it was true that one of the only feel good stories in football was due to drugs
A rumour... on 15:55 - Aug 10 with 5108 views | blacky200 | Don't really know why the secrecy. It has been openly published on the BBC and the Sunday Times that there are allegations that a doctor has prescribed performance enhancing drugs.
A rumour... on 15:56 - Aug 10 with 5101 views | FredManRave | Bobby Zamora was on drugs?! [Post edited 10 Aug 2017 15:56]

A rumour... on 16:00 - Aug 10 with 5071 views | blacky200 | Still think I was on drugs that day. QPR, at Wembly, down to 10 men, oppo dominating play , JH chasing down a no hoper ball, gets a cross in, set up on a plate by oppo defender, Zamora scores, we win. Yeah you tell me I wasn't on drugs.
A rumour... on 16:02 - Aug 10 with 5059 views | TacticalR | I wouldn't be surprised if the performance enhancing drugs that we bought were over the hill and well past their sell-by date.

A rumour... on 16:14 - Aug 10 with 5008 views | nadera78 | If anyone thinks professional football is clean they need to give their head a shake. Why on earth, when every sport under the sun has a problem with performance enhancing and social drug use, would football be any different? Being dispassionate, given the sums of money involved, football is even more likely to be affected than other sports.
A rumour... on 16:58 - Aug 10 with 4884 views | Dorse | I think I know who it is. Is that that team that wears the shorts? You know the one I'm talking about. They play in that stadium.

A rumour... on 18:22 - Aug 10 with 4633 views | Jamie | Not really that much of a secret considering a doctor openly stated that he was providing his services to the club in question and other PL clubs. The story was of course swiftly swept under the carpet and forgotten. Much like Mark Halsey claiming that he had been pressured during his refereeing career into favouring certain sides and amending his post match reports to improve 'the show'.....again quickly swept under the rug and forgotten.
A rumour... on 18:58 - Aug 10 with 4526 views | RangersDave | Enough dopes in football already mate!

You have to ask why Bungle didn't take that appraoch when we were up there....he did? Oops! Gave our lot Rhohipnyal and Chill Out Cheese by mistake..DOH!!! As for football and drugs per se.... had some of my best times back in the day. Many a Bradley Allen goal squeezed out the last Friday night rush. Dilly Ding, Dilly Bong
