Blair on Brexit.Incredible on 16:48 - Feb 18 with 1114 views | skippyjack | The intellectual superiors are getting rather violent. Even though none of them have actually been tested for their supposedly superior powers. The fact is.. the EU finances their livelihoods.. no EU = no extra finances. They're all on lithium injections and mental programming anyway.. a few on this forum are anyway.. just by typing style.. The cataclysmic mayan doom prophecy is a bit mad.. the exit of doom is based solely on 'projections' and 'probabilities' that can be manipulated with certain movements anyway. They can't predict the future.. they can only have a guess.

Blair on Brexit.Incredible on 17:31 - Feb 18 with 1083 views | exiledclaseboy | One thing I have realised since the referendum is that some leave voters have massive inferiority complexes.

Blair on Brexit.Incredible on 18:12 - Feb 18 with 1508 views | rock1n | Absolutely, they all seem soft as sh1t. I don't believe just leave voters are ignorant, I believe remain voters like myself are as well on balance I believe the evidence is overwhelming in support of staying in but I believe those in charge of the detail should be making the decisions. That's what our democracy is built on. It's an extremely complex issue. [Post edited 18 Feb 2017 18:13]

Blair on Brexit.Incredible on 18:19 - Feb 18 with 1499 views | exiledclaseboy | I do think that there's a very respectable case to be made for a second referendum once the exit negotiations are complete. "You voted to leave to the EU, this is what leaving the EU looks like. Do you still want to leave?" Only issue is that the complexity of negotiations means that it's unlikely that there'll be a permanent solution in place at the end of the two year article 50 period. It's more likely to be a series of transitional arrangements. It really is an absolute clusterf*ck at the moment.

Blair on Brexit.Incredible on 18:32 - Feb 18 with 1477 views | Morfa_Same | I agree with everything he said, but unfortunately it's a year too late. The time for action was before the referendum. Instead the remain campaign was so limp it barely even grabbed the attention of the media, let alone the public. Nothing left to do now except stand back and watch the country implode. The only possible remedy for Brexit now is in 20 years when all the old crumblies who voted us out are pushing up daisies and maybe we can have a referendum to get back in.
Blair on Brexit.Incredible on 18:48 - Feb 18 with 1441 views | Flashberryjack | Maybe you'll be pushing up daisies earlier than you think......not wishing ill will on you of course.

Blair on Brexit.Incredible on 18:52 - Feb 18 with 1434 views | rock1n | Yep, but it's not easy to defend a position far easier to be the insurgent it's more radical and exciting. The media as I keep saying have a lot to answer for. I expect a referendum in the future and we'll vote back in without all the extra stuff like rebates out of euro, out of schenghen. As ecb said it's a clusterfeck- the ultimate in winging it

You'd think they'd think the bigger picture and not whether they could potentially have a bloody foreigner on the bus

| |
Blair on Brexit.Incredible on 19:28 - Feb 18 with 1386 views | SnakePlissken | I don't think most brexiters voted out over imagration from the e.u. people who are concerned about imagration are probably more concerned about the amount of imagrants coming in from outside of europe
Blair on Brexit.Incredible on 19:33 - Feb 18 with 1374 views | BigPhilG | Do you mean the old people who fought to keep this country safe ? The ones who witnessed the Germans trying to dominate Europe before and are trying to do it again ? The same ones who went through hard times, went through rationing and brought us all up. Now you can't wait for them to die so you can have a vote to put everyone under German rule. Hang your head in shame, the older generation have got every right to vote and should be respected

Blair on Brexit.Incredible on 20:01 - Feb 18 with 1335 views | sherpajacob | Name me someone high up in the Tory party who voted against the war. IDS 6 months before the war accused Blair of prevaricating and called for a pre emptive strike, before any dossiers were issued, Teresa may party chairman at the time said her party backed military action in September 2002. It's why Blair still won the 2005 election, the tories had no grounds at all to criticise him over Iraq.
| |
Blair on Brexit.Incredible on 20:51 - Feb 18 with 1299 views | rock1n | The tories are the party of National defence if the PM is suggesting an immediate threat you'd expect them to support it. But many on the right are against liberal interventionism, preferring isolationism. IDS was the Corbyn of the right, a useless leader so it's hard to make a judgment call. The main problem was Blair and his unqualified support for everything America did he said this after 9/11

So many of our boys and girls gave the ultimate sacrifice in Afghanistan and Iraq...let's not even talk about civilians....and for what ? ...nothing. He set the cause of Labour back many years.
