Unless we are spending £25mill, we cant guarantee 20 goals plus.

Saying that, you can't even guarantee it then, if we get 15 goals, he will be worth the money.

we already have that in the squad if Ayew plays up top, we need 2 others in who can get maybe 8-10 each to add to hopefully our midfielders finally chipping in with goals

Looks michu like in some of his you tube videos .
Michu was a goal scoring midfielder who was vertually unplayable as a striker at the swans.

Seeing llorente hit the ball early and first time makes me think he will have a big impact, defenders couldn't get near michu and he wasn't even as good as this bloke.
Prem defences are no where near as good as serie A and la liga.

If we sign him I think he'll do just dandy.

No-one outside Kane, Aguero and Vardy scored 20 goals last season, in the league anyway, as I doubt we would play him in cups unless we got reasonably far.

I think it's a bit much to expect to be honest.

This transfer speculation is engendering terrifically negative thoughts from some members of the forum. Preseason could have been worse although we have only played third tier clubs. Looking forward to the main event. Roll on to the start of the Premier League proper. Even with the current squad we will finish somewhere between 11th and 16th and Im hoping for a good cup run.

If you can fill the unforgiving minute. With sixty seconds' worth of distance run, Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it, And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

so he is 31 you lose pace as you get older not class,

only have to look at defoe to see that

he would be a massive improvement on our squad,

and for 6m or whatever i think thats a bargain for a proven goalscorer,

he would suit are style

i think he would be a great addition personally

according to some spanish press, llorente has not travelled with sevilla FC to germany and negotiations with swansea continue in secret for now and says there is "good harmony" between all parties. Sociedad now looking elsewhere

Took a quick look into his league stats last year. 23 apps, 14 starts, 9 off the bench - 4 goals 3 assists. He had a total of 1162 minutes on the pitch, and in that time he contributed to a goal (goal or assist) every 166 minutes he played. He also managed to contribute to more goals from the bench (4 - 3 goals 1 assist) than he did starting (3 - 1 goal 2 assists), although it was minimal. I think he fell victim to Gameiro's form last season and probably would have contributed more had he played. Getting him for the reported 5.9 million could be a pretty good deal IMO.

not my words just translating the gist of the article, seeing as all deals are conducted privately it seems a case of stating the obvious, at least if true then it has moved on from just an enquiry

Reports coming out of Portugal seem to think sporting Lisbon have failed in their bids to sign him and that he's agreed a deal with Swansea.

Excellent.

If we get him and this Moroccan bloke and don't lose anyone that would be enough for me.

Having Llorente up front with Gylfi behind and Ayew and Ziyech on either flank. If it clicks would cause nightmares for defenders.

Would really be a tonic if we signed Ziyech cracking player and Llorente and Ulloa, would still like to see a full back or two come in.
