Yes, 30% of seven million = £2.1 million, take that off the £12 million and we pretty much get the £10 million that was first reported as being the fee.

Also, Alan Shearer, when asked if it was a good deal for Newcastle, hesitated, said he's obviously got talent but questioned his attitude if a team struggling, like Swansea, are happy to sell an England international to one of their rivals.
