IIRC he was on the verge of the wider Euros squad when he first got injured so delighted for him to finally make it

Well done Eze - genuinely proud of him. The progress he's made in the last 4 or 5 years has been unbelievable.

Brilliant news. Come on England!
A bit like when Rodney got his England debut, all be it for 10 minutes. The only cap when a Ranger.

As these are qualifers it's in England's interest to get him on the pitch at some point to lock him away from that Nigerian option, which again is good news for us.

Pleased for him and announced on BZ day.

It’s a strange reality that this fella who hasn’t played for us for years is financially still potentially more valuable to the club than the entire present squad put together.

He rescues us one more time we'll have to name a stand after him. Might even have enough money to pay for the fcking thing ourselves.

Hopefully the clause is based on a call up and they dont treat him like they did Austin when he was called up and then got splinters his arse for a fortnight

I would have thought he could get some minutes against Malta at least.

Playing Malta and N Macedonia so he surely will get a game.
Grealish and Foden have the CL final so likelihood is they won't feature in the first game. REally has a chance to play.
Hopefully the clause in the contract is nice and high

Sorry, my spelling is really bad..............

From BBC Football:

Eberechi Eze has completed more take-ons than any other player in the Premier League this season.

The winger has beaten an opponent 71 times so far this term, contributing 10 goals and four assists. He has also created 55 chances for his Crystal Palace team-mates.

Regardless of any monies received for Eze, does anyone trust our club not to spaff it up the wall along with the countless millions already wasted?

Eze is a fantastic player and human being, I hope this is the start of an international career he, and we, can be proud of. One of the best players to have worn the hoops imo.

If he does play, then this makes Chair look like the next Eze to buy as his stats are great too.

Thus it increases his salable value as well, knock-on effect. Not for sure and all conjecture but it may well help.

"Better buy Chair quickly before his value goes through the roof like Eze's and then you will have to pay £60m in a few year's time. Going cheap at QPR for £8m."

zzzzzzzzzz

Just saw a report that Arsenal are breaking the bank to try for Rice would Eze not contribute more in that system and for less money.
I personally think Eze is a superior player but Rice does the defensive work superbly and is one of the first names in the England 11 for every game.
Rice is durable also fair play its not easy being in the engine room but Eze has generational talent and Arsenal would really benefit IMO
