Are we now in a downward spiral? 16:05 - Jan 27 with 2021 viewsvetchonian

With today's news of Grimes wanting away on top of the Luke Williams saga, lack of signings downturn in results are we now in a downward spiral?

With season ticket sales expected to be well down on this seasons and the subsequent reduction in income are we looking at us ending up in LG 1 or worse.

It seems we have sent acadamy players out on loan sold Abdulai in an attempt to balance the books..

Things are not good at the club...and that is not all down to Williams surely...has he instructed the club to send all those players out on loan.

There was much joy when we heard Coleman had relieved us of Jase and Steve but is it now a case of out of the frying pan and into the fire?

Poll: Should Coleman ask Curt for advice/help?

If Grimes goes gor around £3M, then we should have received around £4.5M this window.
There is a week to go. That could mean we will see several new players coming in. A couple of decent players with potential and hopefully a flair player and a striker and things could be looking up.

We need a Trundle / Michu style flair player who gets people wanting to watch us.
Shouldn't be too hard to find in a week

Without a doubt look at the players that have gone, Coleman is the jack of all trades down there now trouble is that he's the master of none, apart from Martin Hodge there's no football men/women behind the scenes.

This may explain as to why Williams is away with the fairies.

Where are these investors, cause all of a sudden the club is looking in dire straits as there been behind the scene issues etc?

Where are these new "investors" If I had invested millions into the club I'd want to be hands on or at least have a trusted assistant in there, we've heard nothing or seen anything written by them apart from at the time of any investment they may have made.

Kaplan and Levien are still there in some form, whether it'll be legal issues or somin else. I wouldn't bet against any of it going on.

We thought Coleman et al was the Brave new dawn but it turned out to be Groundhog day.

Desperately in need of new players we instead get rid of some.

Desperately in need of a new manager but nothing happens.

Desperately in need of solid leadership and we discover we have a ditherer at the helm.

The whole situation has turned toxic and YES we are in a spiral.

He is a fraud. I told you that last year ( not you personally).
The Swans are his plaything. He will soon get bored.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

I’m going to disagree with you if only for my own comfort!

He’s not wealthy enough for it to be a plaything. And even if he was he’d want to be measured by his success.

Is he capable / experienced enough, well no, maybe not. But I’d say he cares. A lot.

Cardiff just about to sign an Ajax player all be it on loan and yet we are dragging our heels and panicking over P&S,.

I think P&S is being over played by Coleman we obviously haven't got the money.

I very much think you're right.
Even if we were likely to breach the rules, it would only be slightly over with a maybe 3 point deduction next season.
If we had strengthened at the beginning of the window we could still have been an outside chance of the players offs and not in a relegation battle.

The Ajax player has only played 2 games this season because of injury, he'd be a crock if we were signing him

It is too early to panic. Getting players out of the door early is a sound practice. The club can concentrate on incomings this week with some financial leverage.

Galbraith in, Darling given extra cash a creative midfielder in on loan and things will be fine. Parker Ginnelly and Govea are back in the mix. The issue is Williams.

BBC Wales made him sound grander than he actually is then, typical of them though.

Gibbs White played 4 games for Swansea and played well for Sheffield utd after Christmas after Swansea got him fit. He was English so was not a " English crock". That is valid.

Arriola and Morris were fit and raring to go but were American and therefore " American crocks" once they got injuries. I do not think EU players qualify as "Euro crocks" especially from respected teams like Ajax.

Maybe Leveim and Kaplan said “look Andy, those sheep sh*ggin f***s don’t trust us any more…pretend you’re taking over” 😉

Those currently at the club are using massive shovels to clean up the mess left by the previous owners
I think they have much to clean away

Everyone can draw their own conclusions, but let's just say I'm not really looking forward to the film sequel "King to a Jack" which will likely be aired when we're a bottom half League 2 team by 2030.

I am a glass half full kind of guy though, so I still think two good signings (both midfield if/when Grimes goes) and a new manager within the next week with a new philosophy and tactics and we can finish the season off decently and build for next year.
