VPN - Again… 14:57 - Aug 16 with 3950 views222gers

I've finally got my VPN and was hoping to make my debut tomorrow.
However, offish just saying “limited access due to contractual matters” or something.
They used to list countries that were acceptable.
Any help ?

When limited countries because of sky I've always had luck with Portugal, Belgium or Mongolia.

I'll try those in the morning. I suppose any civilised country, ie those that don't have Sky may do.
How about Iceland ?
D'you think the club will go back to listing valid countries after Chef United ?

The list is there when I looked just now. The best rule of thumb for you will be to pick the closest valid country that you can.

Yes, thanks chaps - I've found the list in a different section of the offish.
Fingers crossed ! I've got one or two beers in for the match.

Go to Match Centre then down to Follow Sheff U v QPR on QPR+
The list is not where it used to be but that should bring it up alright.

I'm bored with Germany, might go for the Pitcairn Islands tomorrow.

Excellent choice. Last time I was there they put on a lovely greeting with virtual garlands and tiki torches, and a virtual pig on a spit as I rowed up at 6am on my virtual boat.

Basically to connect via an IP address that simulates that you're in a different country, because of the broadcasting restrictions for a lot of games for UK viewers.

I'm completely behind on the Sky mess though so a good amount of it may now be moot anyway, e.g. not being able to watch the cup game against Cambridge.

I also have a theory that Nourry's announcement of a sponsorship deal with Nord a few months ago was him signalling turning a blind eye in order to open up that small but stable revenue stream but that might be a reach.

One little query - when one pays one's tenner to the club it asks for postcode.
Obviously this is part of the verification for the credit card.
Hopefully this won't queer my pitch for my debut VPN encounter?

No that's fine, just use your normal details. We're all allowed to leave these islands at will.

More or less.

Your work laptop vpn is probably specifically for connecting to your work network, rather than to a server overseas, so I don't think so.

Totally agree on the last paragraph, and I doesn't the W12 pod even run an advert for Nord vpn that semi explicitly does this?
