I hadn't wanted him to go until last Saturday's shambolic performance. I just couldn't work out an explanation for such a dire performance. VERY few of the players seemed to make a 100% effort, one in particular didn't even make a 50% effort.

We can look at it as a sad day, or we can look at it as the day he preserved his legacy here. If he had stayed and we had gone down whimpering, no one would remember everything positive he did for the club. That block in the playoff final will live much longer in the memory than today. | | | |

I can't ever remember being this sad about a manager's departure before. |
Nearly 12 years at the club, three promotions - two as captain - and two cups wins as a player. Our second highest ever finish and a record PL points total as a manager. Definitely up there as one of our greatest servants.
As much as it's the right decision, it's a huge shame it's ended like this. Although I suppose the inevitable was this or him being poached by a bigger club. |  | | |

Sad day, all the best Garry after taking over at a very difficult time to keeping us out of the relegation scrap to finishing 8th last year. No doubt he'll get a good job elsewhere.
But unfortunately everyone can see that the team are not performing as they were for whatever reason.
Just hope we announce his replacement soon and hopefully it won't be Pascoe as some suggest. | |
