I thought I was watching a completely different team today. but alas the same depressing outcome! I think there is potential to get better. Faster, more direct play seemed to suit. We created more chances but were ineffective in front of goal. Also, the offensive effort tailed off second half. Worth persevering with Tall Paul and getting balls in the box more often. Link up play needs to improve. KWP played well, Fernandes, Wood and Lesley all
earned their corn.

A huge improvement but just not good enough where it counts.
West Ham are not a very good team. And yet we just couldn’t break them down.
Why? Because increasingly we are seeing what a shite job Russell Martin made of the first four months of the season: if we had played like this from the off in August, there is no way either we would have lost today or be stranded at the bottom of the table.
We are stuffed. But at least we are showing some fight.

Hesitation or indecision by Ramsdale resulted in an unfair goal and defeat. Otherwise it was a very spirited performance and big Paul may not have scored but surely he must be a first pick next match and hopefully with Archer alongside him. Dibling not quite the player we were hoping for and rightly used as a sub. We looked Ok attacking and the defense was ok.

A lot to encourage us. Great atmosphere, and much better performance, Tall Paul is coming!

If we had started the season with the aim of gaining points and trying to stay up rather than the totally indulgent idiocy served up by RM then who knows what might have happened. Our problems scoring would probably have done for us but at least today we created chances. Alright, Wet Spam aren't great but they are mid table and we were at least as good as they were. The defeat didn't feel inevitable like it often did under RM. Of course we are doomed but at least we are now at least trying to get points.

Better performance but where are the goals coming from.? New managers style is encouraging but the hill we have to climb is still steep. Transfer window will tell us more.
