Blues out to show they can do it at home Monday, 23rd Nov 2015 23:02 by pompey-fans.com staff Paul Cook says Pompey are doing all they can to improve on their stuttering home form. They've not won in front of their own fans in League Two since mid-September and are anxious to put that right at home to York on Tuesday night - especially after seeing three points turn into one at Carlisle on Saturday. Cook can understand fans wanting victories but says the final league table is the only one that counts. He told the Pompey website: 'We’ve done everything in our power to recover from Saturday’s game and now we must move on to the next one. It’s a 46-game campaign and we’re right in the middle of it, although we haven’t picked up as many points as we would have liked recently. 'However, the most important thing is the future and what we can do in the fixtures that are coming up. Unfortunately, our home fans haven’t seen us at our best this season and that will lead to certain questions. But one thing you can’t debate is our supporters’ loyalty to this club. They want us to win and get out of this division. 'If we don’t get promoted or reach the play-offs come the end of the season then that’s the time to ask those questions. My message to the fans is to keep backing us as they have been doing and we’ll do all we can to give them a lift. 'I accept we’re in a results business, but I also believe that if you keep playing well then the results will follow.'
