Tigers at Layer Road 21:11 - Sep 23 with 50368 views | SparkfilmsTV | In a strange twist of events l found myself in conversation with a young lady who had attended Layer Road for a match against Hull City in our first season in The Championship. The 5-1 encounter. We were attending a promo evening for a band called The Datsuns in North London in 2008. During the evening she explained that she had been present at a party that made the national news due to the tragic death of someone by the name of Mark Blanco. The incident occurred in December 2006. This incident will be shown on Channel 4 on Monday night at 22.00 in an hour long documentary and several people known to me have made contributions. It may be of interest to some. I am very much hoping that the police will reinvestigate the death of Mark Blanco as a result of what will be included in the content. I know that what l was told by this young lady 15 years ago has been instrumental in the making of this documentary.
Tigers at Layer Road on 00:10 - Sep 26 with 14821 views | SparkfilmsTV | Thanks Naomi. If anyone watched this documentary l can state that there are also links to the deaths of Amy Winehouse and Robyn Whitehead who were both in contact with individuals identified in tonight's programme. .
Tigers at Layer Road on 11:01 - Sep 28 with 14719 views | SparkfilmsTV | In the aftermath of Monday's docu a few of us have been in communication. A side issue was discussed and what was suggested in the programme may be misleading. This relates to the secret filming of Kate Moss ( cocaine ). Paul Roundhill, the publicist for Pete Doherty is mentioned in relation to this. The person who shot the footage was only several feet away from Kate Moss and it would be obvious to her who had the concealed camera. Two young Asians who were the Class A suppliers back then were present in the studio at the time of the filming. As l now understand it The Daily Mirror paid £150,000 for the footage. So who received the payout from The Daily Mirror? Or how was it shared? Pete Doherty does eventually take the focus of this incident away from James Mullord ( Babyshambles Manager in '05 ). James was not in the recording studio at that time. Not even in the country. I still take an interest in the scene as Doherty, Roundhill, Peter Wolfe & Co and l were in a writing circle. Being a social lightweight, and catching the last train to Colchester from Liverpool Street l missed ( thank God ) the hardcore action back then. After Paul Mullord left his position of Babyshambles Manager, Andrew Boyd took on the role. Another disaster occured. Boyd was involved in a hit 'n run in incident ( quite local to Colchester ), he was driving a very expensive car owned by Pete Doherty and neither he or Doherty were insured. It is incredible to think of the trail of destruction that occured back then. Most of it in North and East London but not just contained to those area's. Sorry to post this non football stuff on here but l know a few are following this with interest. [Post edited 13 Dec 2023 19:18]

Tigers at Layer Road on 20:58 - Sep 29 with 14673 views | SparkfilmsTV | Some explanation perhaps required as to how some of this came about. I was working in a design studio in London ( 2002 ish ). The radio was on. Suddenly l was aware of an incredible track. I asked the secretary what station we were tuned into. Capital l think. I asked her to phone them up and find out who the last song was by. Within moments she shouted across ..'That was Close your Eyes, by Dot Allison'. That night l travelled back to Colchester and was flicking through the Essex County Standard and to my amazement Dot Allison was performing at The Arts Centre - the next day l think. I bought a ticket and during the afternoon l just happened to be passing The Arts Centre when 'Close your Eyes' was being played during a soundcheck. I didn't have any contact that night with Ms Allison but about a week later l emailed her to explain how l had discovered her music. That was the beginning of an association where she would invite me to music events and gatherings in London. Ms Allison was in a relationship with Pete Doherty. That was my introduction to the scene. I wrote 'Dirty Blonde at the Cash Machine' during that mad journey through North and East London and Ms Allison's kind words adorn the back cover. I witnessed at close quarters many individuals who were subject matters in songs by both The Libertines and Babyshambles. There is a lot more but that is for somewhere else.
Tigers at Layer Road on 13:11 - Oct 4 with 14608 views | SparkfilmsTV | One of the strangest things that got discussed at a studio in Hackney.....not into birth signs or anything usually myself, but discovered that Pete Doherty and l share the same birthday, that being March 12....and that is also the birthday of beat poet Jack Kerouac ...that was most odd. And if that was not enough, it was also the birthday of a journalist from Dazed & Confused who just happened to mention birthdays. Sorry, just remembered that....
Tigers at Layer Road on 16:15 - Oct 5 with 14552 views | RSCOSWORTH | I watched the documentary last night. It certainly seems like it was no accident or suicide and sadly Mark's family look unlikely to get the justice that they're entitled to.

Tigers at Layer Road on 18:34 - Oct 5 with 14536 views | SparkfilmsTV | Back on to the birthday thing if l may. There were just the most incredible links to people in the circle back then. One being Lisa Moorish and Kate Moss being born within hours of one another. They were great friends and l should imagine they still are. Liam Gallagher and Pete Doherty both had children with Ms Moorish. Pete Doherty used to smoke crack ( can l say that on here? ) in Dot Allison's bath in Dalston and Ami Scott used to smoke crack in my bath in Colchester. No wonder Dot and l became friends, we both had to end relationships for the same reason in the same week. Dot and Kate became friends. Even with Kate Moss on the side of the stage at Glastonbury for a Babyshambles performance Doherty phoned Dot from back stage within seconds of the set. We had it on loudspeaker at a cafe in Poland Street, W1. I asked what they got paid for the appearance and it was £10,000 split five ways between the band members and the manager. Not much really for an epic show. They were heading straight back to London to order a nightcap! Pete Doherty and Dot were still recording together and Moss was ok with that. I think she was in awe of Ms Allison who was working with Massive Attack, Death in Vegas and Andrew Weatherall at the time. I still have demo's from recording sessions from that time. They burned CD's for me for safe keeping. And what l should admit to ....l wrote more pieces that were linked to drugs than Doherty, Barat and Wolfe combined and l didn't do the stuff ...it seems funny now looking back on that.
Tigers at Layer Road on 13:27 - Oct 9 with 14488 views | SparkfilmsTV | Just received a very nice message from The Libertines and sending some gifts off to Margate and France. I have been working on the conversion of writing to sound using artificial intelligence and the results are quite interesting. This has been done in association with Costa Coffee head office and Curzon Cinema in Leicester Square. We shot the film in Colchester.
Tigers at Layer Road on 08:17 - Oct 14 with 14381 views | SparkfilmsTV | Looks like we have uncovered some very interesting visual content from a 16 year period and might form an alliance to release the material. Didn't expect anything quite like this to evolve from the Channel 4 production. This relates partly to a 'blood painting' by Peter Doherty that appeared on the front cover of a magazine. This would not have been to many people's taste, but l have to admit to being very interested in it when we first viewed the piece. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
Tigers at Layer Road on 17:00 - Oct 15 with 14329 views | SparkfilmsTV | We have just released 'Body Shop' onto the Sparkfilms YouTube channel ....no football content there. It's a 57 second recording featuring a voice over from New York using ai software with images shot on location in Colchester, Hackney and New York. Woman who appears to be dead in one of the images is very much alive.
Tigers at Layer Road on 06:41 - Oct 17 with 14254 views | SparkfilmsTV | Have been supplied with US Immigration interviews featuring exchanges between US authorities and Mr Doherty. Actually, these are quite funny in a bizarre way. Would be very interesting to create a short radio play with the material. Should there be any way forward with this in a commercial sense then l need to make sure any possible funds are distributed in a fair and proper way. I am reminded though of one of Pete's lines ....'They'll never play it on the radio'......we can but try.
Tigers at Layer Road on 07:47 - Oct 19 with 14224 views | SparkfilmsTV | There has been a request for me to acquire a Terabyte. I thought this might be a pet. Not quite. The volume of data assembled over the past 20 years is on a massive scale. I am being sent data every day, much of which is unreleased. As for the tragic case of Mark Blanco, l am now in possession of police statements and ( as far as l know ), information pertaining to Mr Blanko that has not been in the public domain, and possibly not known by his close family. This case is still an open wound for many people and will remain so for the rest of their lives. There is much more to this case than anything portrayed in the docu, though the production company would have been unlikely to access this information. The British Establishment lays lurking in the shadows.
Tigers at Layer Road on 22:51 - Oct 25 with 14113 views | SparkfilmsTV | I had a massive 'text' interview / exchange from one of the six individuals who was in attendance at the 'party' where Mark Blanco 'fell' from the balcony. This was spread over an entire week, sometimes through virtually the entire night and took four hours to print from the page impressions at a printers in Colchester on Monday. This in itself could be reproduced in bookform. Multiple images have been sent through, many of which are highly sensitive. Something l can state with certainty on this case is that the police investigation was totally inadequate - for whatever reason!
Tigers at Layer Road on 22:36 - Nov 8 with 14014 views | SparkfilmsTV | A few posts back on this thread l refer to some 'blood paintings' by Peter Doherty. I think there were about 23 that were exhibited ( all sold ) and some that were given away. Some of these paintings were produced in association with other individuals, and include traces of their blood too. Most of the paintings are in private collections and owned by just a few individuals ( residing in France and Germany ). I have been given descriptions of how most of the paintings were produced, virtually all in the same property and confirmation of which individuals contributed to particular works, as best anyone can remember. It's quite disturbing, and yet incredibly creative in a bizarre way. I also have transcripts of poetic work that was written by Peter in Wandsworth Prison and am able to trace lyrics and trends that appear on later musical works. This is all quite a treasure trove and a very interesting insight into the creative process. The Wandsworth journals were scanned ( thankfully ) for the transcripts to exist and they were sold to a specialist book dealer on the Fulham Road. I also have images of most of the blood paintings and hopefully these can be published at some time with any credits and royalties due to Peter Doherty and Paul Roundhill. It was Paul who went out and bought all the canvases. A literary agent has taken an interest in the entire creative and production process that has evolved over the past 20 years or so. I am helping out in a small way and it's been absorbing. [Post edited 29 Dec 2023 8:40]

Tigers at Layer Road on 19:50 - Nov 12 with 13931 views | SparkfilmsTV | I have had a six hour learning curve of using Text to Speech software downloads to play back written pieces. Some of the conversions can work, but the vast majority do not. During a world tour where l have travelled to all continents, the voice that suited one very dark piece the best is a female from Kiev in Ukraine. She speaks slowly and sounds like she may have had a few glasses of vodka and emptied a cigarette packet. I'm always playing catch up with tech but this Speech to Text thing can be quite addictive. Some of the software is free and can achieve the desired result which can be an enormous saving on hiring human beings and recording studios ....which will be loosing out on much of the work they may have done ten years ago. I am noticing far more text to speech now in television and radio voice overs. Speaking of television, l have noticed the new wave of BBC newsreaders and presenters are gradually being unleashed, this being something of a cost saving on those they have replaced.
Tigers at Layer Road on 09:20 - Nov 15 with 13853 views | SparkfilmsTV | The Louis Theroux interview with Peter Doherty last night on BBC 2 covered several highly sensitive issues, one of which was the Mark Blanko incident. His running away from the scene will haunt him forever. I was amazed that he couldn't recall the name of the female that was with him when they fled and this was captured on CCTV. Then years later they meet up in Paris and speak about that fateful night. I am still joining up the dots with what each individual who was present that night has described about the event. Two of them have spoken to me in person and over the phone, and additionally via email and text. I also have images from the night in question including a copy of the original poster that Mark Blanko brought to the property. That poster remained at that property until it was vacated and is still kept along with press cuttings relating to the incident. Peter Doherty may not now be aware of their existence. It was evident from last night's programme that the scars relating to that time run very deep. And so they should.
Tigers at Layer Road on 22:53 - Nov 15 with 13811 views | SparkfilmsTV | The Ukrainian female voice via the Text to Speech download has now become a short soundtrack. I started to use her voice as a narration for poetics but found it more interesting to write a piece from her own standpoint. It has turned into a short play. I sent out a few samples last night including some of the people mentioned on this thread and several have got back to me and they didn't realise it was AI. Very rare for me to be introducing anything new to any of these dudes. Not that it is new as such, just that people in the music industry don't need any artificial assistance. Because my 'actress' has fairly limited spoken English l am able to write it in simplistic form Her day job is in data input in Kyiv and she has an admirer ( or predator ) who sends regular gifts in parcels. Her best friend earns a lucrative living doing web cam. They are still managing a social life despite the current war. But drinks get spiked and there is an unexpected outcome. TTS Maker is the easiest portal l have discovered, you don't even need to register. There is a text box. Delete the message inside, type something in, choose a language, scroll through the voices, sample to a few ( or sample them all first ) a four numeral box comes up to copy, and within less than a minute you can listen to the piece. It can be downloaded as an MP3 and shared via whatever mode you require.....l use email.
Tigers at Layer Road on 13:32 - Nov 16 with 13783 views | SparkfilmsTV | Thanks for the messages from some of you who are following this non football thread. And yes, anyone in the Colchester area who wishes to visit my home is welcome to view the images and paperwork relating to PD. To have a Channel 4 docu followed quickly by the Louis Theroux interview in addition to the release of 'Stranger in my own skin' and all the media coverage surrounding these productions has sparked quite a response.
Tigers at Layer Road on 16:31 - Nov 20 with 13706 views | SparkfilmsTV | To inject a little football into this music dominated thread l should point out that Peter Doherty was an ardent follower of Queens Park Rangers and at one time had the ambition to play for them. He produced a QPR fanzine in his youth. I was living in Goldhawk Road for a while back then and divided my time in midweek between watching QPR and Brentford. I could walk to either ground in around half an hour and one of these treks was to Griffin Park to watch Colchester United who were narrowly beaten 1-0. Back in around 66-67 l saw what l considered to be the best Third Division team in my lifetime. This was the great QPR side put together by Alex Stock. This team included Rodney Marsh! There were twin brothers playing on either wing, l think it was Ian and Roger Morgan. This really was the time of the swinging sixties and that QPR side epitomised the era. I think the home league match against Rangers was a draw and the return at Loftus Road which l attended was a 2-1 defeat in front of a big crowd. The thing l remember most about that day was sitting with Roger Ennew on the supporters coach. R.I.P. He was highly entertaining. Some years later we played in the same Parkside Rangers team. Roger was a great character and a highly skilled footballer.
Tigers at Layer Road on 16:45 - Nov 22 with 13642 views | SparkfilmsTV | It is now time to 'test' my 'TTS' ( text to speech ) experiment on a couple of radio contacts. It is called 'Voicemails from Kyiv" and features a 31 year old female who is employed in data input by day and private modelling by night. It is set in current day Ukraine. Not sure if anything will come of it but it's been really interesting putting the sound files together. I packaged them all onto a 'stick' this morning with the intention of burning them to CD, but none of my contacts have this facility anymore. The 'tracks' range from 15 seconds to two minutes in length and will require titles. The lady in question recites passages from her days and nights to create an audio diary. I have converted a number of pieces l wrote last year that were intended to be reproduced in book form but have 'translated' them from my observations of post modern life in the U.K. to those of the same in Ukraine. The intro features a drone attack in Kyiv. It means rewriting the content and dealing with the straying of phonetics when converting to the programmed voice. It was very time consuming initially as l needed about five takes on everything but now l am down to just a couple of takes. Over in France Peter Doherty is in a big life readjust and is trying to balance a wife, baby daughter and two fantastic dogs with elements of creative work. That is quite an ask. I will try and put an extract on this thread tomorrow from Peter's US Department of Justice, Immigration and Naturalization interview dated June 10, 2010. It's strayed into down town up city Colchester somehow.
Tigers at Layer Road on 07:46 - Nov 25 with 13590 views | SparkfilmsTV | There has been quite a reaction to a certain aspect of the Louis Theroux interview with Peter Doherty that was recently shown on BBC 2. There may be something of a bombshell looming. Tabloids will be fighting for this!
Tigers at Layer Road on 15:53 - Nov 27 with 13535 views | SparkfilmsTV | Here is a short extract from a letter written by Peter Doherty ( not to myself ). My dear xxxx, I trust you are well, as whispers in corridors side-less along rushing canals and twin days unfathonable. I am out of prison, as you know and glad of that ...but where are ye? I've popped round twice today to expand further on my theories...my innate incapacity to hurdle the barriers ten to the dozen ....l want to publish a collection of poetry ...words and subtle renumeration for me art and all me heart. So.....what gives? Yours, aye Peter xxxxxx I received another batch of very interesting content overnight. The hope is that three of us including Peter can possibly package the content for auction. Kate's suitcase would make an ideal auction lot. Peter's old laptop too! [Post edited 27 Nov 2023 15:57]

Tigers at Layer Road on 15:40 - Dec 2 with 13459 views | SparkfilmsTV | Back to the Channel 4 'Peter Doherty, who killed my son?' docu and two questions l have put to the production team in Bristol. Why do we not see an accurate floor plan of the flat and the viewing positions of those present? And, how difficult would it be for one person to drop a dead weight 6ft 4in 30 year old male over a four foot balcony? The general consensus from people l have spoken to ranges from 'extremely difficult to highly unlikely'. We have three males who the police should have questioned with more rigor ( not that any was applied ) just as there were three males who were of interest in the 'drowning' ( murder we think ) in Michael Barrymore's swimming pool of Stuart Lubbock. We also have hints of possible police corruption in both cases. As yet, neither case has been solved and there appears to be limited interest and involvement of the police force.
Tigers at Layer Road on 21:10 - Dec 6 with 13382 views | SparkfilmsTV | Seems impossible to believe, but as yet no one appears to have checked the witness statements in relation to the layout / floorplan of 18 Fieldgate Mansions, Romford Street, E1 where the incident involving the death of Mark Blanko took place 17 years ago. Another point of interest ( to me) is that one of the guests on that fateful night in December 2006 ( Kate Russell Pavier ) now, Kate L'Strange just happens to be the daughter of former BBC employee and crime writer Nick Russell Pavier who appears to have advised her against speaking about this case. I wonder why? Shelia Blanko was unable to get a response from her and l sent an email to Ms L'Strange yesterday.....and don't expect a reply either. She is the only person who was present in '06 who seems to avoid speaking about the case to media or anyone else. However, l do understand that is her right and she is now a mother too, but l think she could unlock the 'mystery' should she have a change of mind ( however late in the day ). All of the others have. Even to the point of confession and retraction of confession - Jean Jeannovol. And 'Headlock' as he is known has never been shy of speaking on camera or 'off the record'. It remains a very interesting case.
Tigers at Layer Road on 17:05 - Dec 7 with 13325 views | SparkfilmsTV | A journalist from a national newspaper has been alerted to 'Tigers at Layer Road' in the past few days and we are now working in tandem for a possible feature. He has given me a whole new dynamic on some of the current investigations that are ongoing and the mental well being of some of those involved. I can only release confidential material with a green light from those who have provided it. As it happens, they are usually ok with sharing the information.
Tigers at Layer Road on 17:49 - Dec 10 with 13271 views | SparkfilmsTV | The BBC 2 Louis Theroux interview. It appears Peter Doherty was impatient and agitated during some of the filming in the docu. Set up times and briefing were an inconvience. The Peter Doherty stance had always been that no one knows what happened ( re death of Mark Blanco ).This also was the intended stance for John Jeannovol too but since he had a stroke he makes even more of a mess of the answers when being interviewed in recent times. He states on camera in the Channel 4 docu - 'I know what happened' Then the interviewer asks 'What happened?' And he answers 'Nothing happened' But experts have detected facial expressions that cast doubt on his reply. Not that body language is always reliable, though he gives the appearance of someone searching for a brief that is getting lost in the passage of time. Following is the basic description of events from initial statements from the individuals present. After Mark Blanco was removed from the flat the door was bolted. This with all six people present inside the flat. The next thing they know is when one of the guests finds Mr Blanco on the pavement unconscious. This being about 17 minutes after the door was bolted. Peter states that the door was bolted but others who were present appear to have forgotten. Going back to 2009 ( three years after the event ) after discussing that night with Naomi Stirk who was present and listening to her version of events l recall contacting Mrs Shelia Blanco ( mother of Mark ). I didn't receive a response and nor did l follow it up. Naomi did though which was even better. Something l learned only a few weeks ago - the first person to find Mark Blanco in the street, and make a phone call for an ambulance before anyone came down from the flat attempted to contact Mrs Blanco on several occasions was unsuccessful in speaking to her. I think he gave a witness statement to the police so perhaps Mrs Blanco was satisfied with that. ( Message to anyone having the patience to read through this, the thread has proven a useful reference source for several journalists and a place to record recent findings ). There is contention relating to the door being locked / bolted with all six occupants inside. Several male voices are indentified by someone in close proximity and the voices are detected seconds from the thud of Mr Blanco hitting the ground. If that is the case then these individuals have re-entered the flat, maybe locked ( bolted? ) the door and remained there for around 17 minutes. Mark Blanco was at the property to promote a play that he was about to take the lead role in called 'The accidental death of an anarchist' and some posters of other productions of that play show images of someone falling backwards in virtually the same way as Mark fell. The main occupant of the flat always states that it is his belief that Mark Blanco was making an artistic statement due to extreme pressure of the impending play and it was in effect an act of suicide - something the police initially ( 48 hours ) even stated to Mrs Blanco.
