Watching the Cameroon Burkina Faso game and it reminds me of how the World Cup used to be, you might know one or two players but the rest are a mystery. Some real good players on show you’ve never heard of plus proper fouls. Burkina Faso look decent. And Technicolor kits.

Looking forward to watching it - seeing Chair and Taarabt ripping it up for Morocco would be a great QPR moment, plus looks like Seny might get a game for Senegal. No idea who might win though

I don't think Adel is in the squad, but Morocco have to be the choice of all reasonable neutrals.
1) They've got Ilias Chair
2) The coach won't pick a Ch*ls** player

Enjoyed the first couple of games, was chatting with mates earlier about this and agreeing a lot of the fun is that there is such an amount of mystery to it combined with a few world class players that it makes it fascinating. Plus with some games in the day and the fact I'm still WFH, I'm going all in on it. Seny and Chair tomorrow.

Not sure about the VAR so far though.

Poll: Moses Odubajo - Stick or Twist?

I think Damien Stewart has more chance of getting a game for Sierra Leonne given that Seny is Senegalese!

But back to today’s game, also throw in some dodgy refereeing. How the ref did not give the pen for Cameroon without being referred to viewing it on VAR?

Good point I’ve changed it!

So Adel isn’t in the Moroccan squad and Seny doesn’t play for Sierra Leone but apart from that game on 😉

Surely the quicker our players are out the better?

Although I know what you mean about supporting them.

Is Dieng the number 1 Keeper for Senegal?

Mendy is Senegal's first choice keeper but he's out of today's game with Covid. Dieng will play.

I thought Dieng was the third choice goalkeeper?

I do hope that he plays though.

You might be right, Terry. I'm certainly no expert. Dieng has played one game for Senegal in the past and been in the squad for some time so I've just assumed he'd be in today.

Genuinely exciting, and great for our club. Another sign of our progress over recent years.

So excited for him. Didn't think he had a chance of playing, as third choice keeper, so fantastic news and good luck Seny!

Zimbabwe have a player called Godknows on the bench.
Somebody insisting on taking the parents' first answer at the maternity ward there...

Lovely touch to have these two games on while WFH. Wouldn't expect Seny to be a busy boy in this one but we'll see. Anyone know likelihood of Chair starting?

Judging by the first 5 minutes, I hope Seny took a good book with him.

Doesn't say a lot for Admiral Muskwe that he can only make the bench for this lot, unless he's been injured or something.

Zimbabwe have been better after a dire start. Dieng has made a good start, confident claims and good distribution.
