Effective and Efficient Football = Winning 00:27 - Oct 6 with 6834 viewsAndyCole

.

Effective and Efficient Football = Winning. It's our business, to Win.

Effective = Doing the Right Things
Efficient = Doing The Right Things Well

Our US investors will be constantly monitoring our business model performance to gauge how we are doing against our competitors.

This year - we don't do the Right Things, to Win. Our manager seems unable to focus on doing the Right Things to Win a football match.

Last 2 years we were Highly Effective and Efficient, hence our massive relative achievements. Up there, nigh on Best In Class in this league.

This year we have spent unprecedented amounts. And yet we continue to be languishing with not very clever, highly ineffective, bottom quartile efficient. Hence we are hovering perilously just above the drop zone, by a thread. It ain't no coincidence.

This really ain't difficult.

Any organisation that wants to succeed, be up there as the Best In Class, needs to be the most Effective and the most Efficient.

Martine needs some help, he lacks focus. Lacks focus on winning. Lacks the ability to recognise Highly effective and Efficient football. Something the US Owners will be well versed in - Best In Class Investment.

(PS - global Advisory firms make billions from the advice above - let's hope Martin (and some of our twper followers) pay heed from this free advice - (though I know how far it will wash over the heads of the many)).

But it’s linear, you should be seeing significant improvements along the journey.

It’s not a case of ending game 46 of his reign and someone clicking their fingers and by game 47 we are a different side. It doesn’t work like that.

In fact it doesn’t work at all really, this is a new concept dreamed up by fans this season to excuse poor performance. What other Swans manager who has come in and changed a style needed to write off a whole season to implement his ideas before?

As Cooper has shown this season under similar circumstances (no pre season, no transfer window until Jan) - a good manager should make significant improvements quickly. There should be no writing off seasons.

We both know what’s going to happen next season. Piroe will move on, or another big player, we will sign some new players. The narrative will then be “upheaval in pre season, Martin looking to bed in new players and must be given time to rebuild”.

There is already a thread on the other forum talking about next season being a rebuilding one. It’s tiresome.

It does work like that. The 1st game of the new season clubs do have a different side. Some of our players will leave and some will arrive. The window closes later into next season which will also have a bearing as will the month off before the following window. I do not believe next season will be transitional, RM has to start to deliver, irrespective of who comes in or leaves.

If we needed to write off a season to teach new players how to play this style (a style that still doesn’t work and never has wherever he has implemented it) - then why don’t we need to write off next season to teach the new players again?

Let’s say we get 3 new defenders, a replacement for Piroe should he leave and a couple of new loans to replace Wolf and Christie. That’s potentially more than half the side being completely new again.

It seems what is needing to be written off is simply coinciding with avoiding facing up to what is going wrong. These writing off rules won’t be consistent and they will change depending on convenience.

If we had to write off this season then we should really have to write off the next. Should we lose another half a team after that, which is fairly probable then we should write off that one too. So on and so forth.

But that would not be having the season Martin was told he would have to implement his ways on and off the pitch. He was promised a season and he has had his season, next season is the time to move forward. Apparently much has been done in the background and that will be in place whatever the changeover in players. Lets all look forward to next season instead of writing it off before it starts.

Read the OP, the thrust of this thread. You seem to be easily confused. And, grow up.

You're clearly struggling to comprehend that languishing in 15th, consistently playing a losing brand of keep-ball in our defensive third isn't a good thing. At all.

Martinball is the antithesis of Winning, Effectively and Efficiently.

As duly noted by our key stakeholders....... implementing plan B as we speak.........

But out what ?

Back on topic, Martinball is light years away from the winning Cooperball brand of proper football played in the right areas, at the right time, in the right way.

In fact Martinball is an unrecognisable brand of losing football, always destined for the bottom tier. Unprecedented in so many ways - in it's failure; and in the way in which fickle supporters are still duped - bonkers, in so many ways. Comedy gold were it not so tragic, given the past two terms of overachievement, on a relative shoestring.

And of course football is all about the winning, not the taking part.

Most proper fans want hard graft, sleeves up, canny streetwise winning performances week in week out. With an Edge.

This season we've been subjected to the polar opposite. A travesty. The antithesis of Cooperball, a losing Martinball, glossed over with insulting fluff by brand Martin.

And the majority of sane fans are therefore unhappy, disillusioned with the waffle and the cliff edge we now face.

Martin Out.

Efficiency is a mathematical or a matter for physics and can be represented as a percentage.

AN efficient car engine for example will have mile per gallon graded as efficiency. A ratio. Another car with a higher mpg will have a more efficient engine.

The glaring inefficiency of Martin ball is the Possession : shots on goal ratio in % terms. Keeping possession is work and goals is return for the work.

Take Forest v Swansea

70% possession and shots on goal means a lot of work for one goal. A goal every 63 minutes of possession time.

Forest on the other hand had 5 goals with 30% possession. A goal every 5.4 minutes of possession. A lot more efficient with time on the ball. 10 times more efficient in fact.

The big Teams Swansea aspire to, might have the same possession to goal ratio as their opposition but get 75 % possession and commonly score 3 goals for every one conceded.

Ward Prowse can bang in a free kick as good as any man at Man city or Liverpool but because they have more of the ball he does not get so many chances. Similarly with Kane.

There were occasions with Martinball where 75% possession did see three times as many shots 3 times as many shots of target and three times as many goals. Cardiff Peterborough etc. This is the control and domination Martin talks off. The team was efficient in translating possession into chancesand also limiting their chance by limiting their possession.

Martin is in dream land if he things Swansea had control over Forest first half. Control is 65% possession 65% of the shots on target and 65% of the goals. Cooper was always efficient. Huddersfield were like Swansea last season but improved their set piece game. Even if Swansea can get 65% possession and 65% free kicks a set piece expert in the mode of Sigurdson or Ward Prowse could massively improve Swansea's efficiency in converting possession into shots on and off target.

Bump. Again, for the hard of thinking.

Cooperball is a winning formula......

Martinfraudball is a losing formula. Time and again. Season after season, regressively worse. Now 15th, and counting down, for him.....

Wake up, feeble sheeple, with not a jot of footballing common sense.

Martinfraudball is now beyond embarrassing. Much like some of our naive, twp posters accepting of 15th. Bottom tranche, in so many ways. Says it all
